Depends on the game. If there is inherent replay value (ie, an active multiplayer community), why would I stop after getting all of the achievements?

depends on the game, really. if it's singleplayer, then most likely. but if it's a game like Battlefield 1943, never!

I got the full 1000 on DIRT 2 several days ago. I've been racing nearly every day since & I have no plans to stop doing so either.

Nope. But achievements do give me another reason to replay games but its def not the most important. If a certain game is out of achievements, ill play it anyway, achievements are just a nice add/challenges. What i really want is to play.

Agreed....achievemnts are cool "BUT" they are far from my main focus when I am playing a game.

Depends on the game. If I like the game, probably. If I don't like the game...well...no.

If it's a single player game that has only taken one play to get 100%, then i may play a second time. If it's a single player that takes more than one to get 100% then no i'll go onto something else. If it's a game with good multiplayer, i'll stick with it untill the game bores me, regardless of achievements. If it's a game with bad multiplayer, it'll depend on how hard the achievements are to get, if there easy i'll stick with it till 100%, if not i'll pass.

Yeah, it does depend on the game. Most of the time, if I get 1000 points, I have seen everything there is to see, and I have played it enough that I am finished with it e.g Dead Space (Although I will replay it in the future, just don't know when.) And then there are games like Call of Duty 4, that I have had 1000 points in for a long time and still go back to play regularly.

Depends on the game. I got all 1000 in COD4 and continues to play that for a few more months. But I also got 1000 in Lost: Via Domus and stopped playing that game immediately. Depends on replay value really.

I got 1000/1000 on CoD4, and still played it for about 4 months after doing so.

Depends on the game. Mostly, no. I don't have any completed retail games. I had 1000/1000 on Halo back in the day right after it came out and I played for a while after that.

I replay games because I enjoyed them enough to want to re-experience it, not to mine for achievements, if I just happen to get all the points for a particular game while doing that, I'll still keep playing it.

EmperorZeruel

well i've never got anywhere NEAR 1000 achievement points for a game. I stop playing games WAY before then. some games I just get to a point where I die all the time, or im stuck, or i just get bored (example : dead rising = horrible save feature and it gets really hard= havent played in months)

i can imagine if i actually DID get near 1000 points on 1 game, id probably be sick of it by then and it would collect dust.

I'll continue if I like it. I generally don;t get all the achievements unless I like it.

Most of the games i got 1000 in, is because i like the game. If i like the game, then it doesn't matter if i have 1000 in it, i'll keep playing it. Forza 2, DiRT 2, etc.. Games like CoD4, i don't play the single player anymore. But all 1000 points are from the single player, so it shouldn't really count.

I stopped playing Fallout 3 the day I finished it. Mainly because I was tired of it for awhile, but I only had like 4 achievements to go on it. I spent a night powerleveling and looking for bobbleheads, found them all, and have yet to touch the game since.

Of course. If a game has a high replay value and you enjoy it enough to play more, not playing it again because there isnt any more achievements is silly.

A game like Halo 3 no because there is online play. A game like Batman AA yes because I will beat the game then go through for achievements and there will be nothing left to do.

I got my 1000 a while ago for Dead Space, and it seems there is nothing left on that game. I guess it really depends on multiplayer as well as general replay value.

Depends on the game.. some games you gotta beat 5+ times to get 1000/1000 and if I have done that and it's sp only chances are I won't touch it again.

I dont like achievements in the first place, I just try my best to finish games. Im a pot head so I lose interest in things and move on.
