played a couple rounds online (one match as each species. unfortunetly I was getting some nasty lag at times, but I think that's because of my firewall. ever since I moved PC online gaming has been fubar'd) so, on to the goods...
Graphics -- just as good as the screenshots. Sounds seems like they're all ripped straght from (all) the movies.
Marines -- easiest to use, as it's the most familiar. the "Heartbeat Sensor" from Aliens is actually the Marines RADAR. no other species have radar. My previous post (about MP) was right. you start with a Pistol and a Pulse Rifle, other weapons must be picked up.
Predator -- Rebellion dun it right. The cloack isn't pefect, but it breaks up your silhouette enough to still be usefull. seems like I only started with the wristblades (which was more than enough to run amuk shanking people). 3 vision modes: Heat Vision (the classic), Alien Vision (ripped straight out of AvP movies. everything is greenish, and Aliens pop us as neon green. can't see human AT ALL in this mode) and normal "human" vision.
Aliens: if you've read the interviews, they covered it pretty good. fast as hell, the ceiling is your friend. the first time you crawl up in the ceiling, and just wait for someone to run past, drop down and tongue-mouth impale their brains . . . oh yeah. you'll be hooked.
Final Word: Ever read a preview for a game, and something awsome happens, but you never see it for yourself when the game ships . . . yeah, not gonna happen here, I gurantee it. Each match I played had a great "Movie Moment" in it. From Shooting at an Alien, only to be impaled like Dillon by a Predator. To the Alien ceiling drop (mentioned earlier in this post). the best, was waiting for a Marine and an Alien to finish each other off (so I could move in), only to get spun around and be staring into the face of Mr. and Mrs. Ugly . . . about to eat my face.
bravo Rebellion, the full release can't get here soon enough.

to poster above, Aliens: Colonial Marines fate hangs on the response to AvP. If AvP does well, Sega says they'll keep CM going forward (although honestly, it must be so far along by now that it'd be just plain stupid to can it now).
