Well at homeI have two laptops and a pc all hooked up to my wireless router, Okay meaning at home were all using wireless, now I'm going to be buying myself a xbox 360 next week and I would like to hook it up to xbox live However since I use wireless around my home I dont want to spend an extra 60 quid on a bloody official ms wireless adapter, I want to know if I could use another alternative to get the 360's wireless cababilities?

Im telling you right now, I have 5mbps internet, and my wireless router is 10ft from my 360. Everytime i play wirelessly its just a little to laggy. Go wired dude unless your just going to use it for downloading stuff.

It's 129.99 CDN. What a ripoff - I know. Besides, for gaming purposes ( especially playing over LagBox Live) it's better to use a wired connection anyways.

just connect your ethernet wire to your laptop and turn your laptop on. You can catch your wireless router signal using your laptop. Thats what I did and I didnt spend a penny :)

It takes more than just connecting the wire to the laptop. You need to be a little computer saavy to get this to work.

I looked into about that guys way of connection to xbox live through his laptop using the laptops wireless and yes it does work and it will take more than just plugging in ethernet cables into each port you (I) would have to bridge the connections your LAN and Wireless connections in order to get a Open Source of connection. If not you would end up with a ristricted connection. So if it is all true from what I have read from www.xboxlivetheguide.co.uk it should hopefully work.

I also connect to Live through my laptop. All you have to do is find the wireless network in the control panel of the laptop and find the option to share the internet connection. I can play online with a great connection with the router a few rooms down.

Either go wired to the router or set up internet sharing on one of your laptops and plug the 360 into it.

Well I do have one of my laptops set up in my living room so when ever I'll play I'll hook up the laptop to it, and just bridge the connetions to allow the sharing of the wireless.
