Maybe a4 ghzQuad core with full directx 10 enable GPU like a 8800ULTRA... but it will be enough cheap at this time to sell the console at good price and the best hardware will be way more powerful than that! but consoles are way better choice than high end pc! if you want to keep a gaming pc up to date, you must have a lot of $$ because it's really impossible to stay up to date a long time without big bucks!
Xbox Reality (yes not the best name),but the idea isthe console is like glasses with arm and leg sensors and everything is virtual reality. FPS will be so much more fun, not that they are not already

thats a while down the road, but i imagine it will be virtual reality where u wear a suit and get immersed in the game, maybe inside an orb on rollers so you can walk and stuff and you'll have a mic and the system will recognize ur voice so you can talk to people whether it be online or in the game. the graphics will be nearly lifelike and the system will be powerful enough to handle even the most intense experience. for racing and flying games, the console will come with a chair u can put in the orb and the system will simulate movement. the suit you'd put on would have like restricting fabrics so if you pick sumthing up, it'll feel like ur grabbing sumthing cuz the suit willl restrict your movement. price tag will be 2300 bucks but will go down to bout 1800 within 8 months of release
it will be called Box-Ageddon and it will have arms and legs and be programed to destroy all other consoles within a 10 mile radius,and if you insult it, it kicks you in the shins and gives you the mike tyson ear bite. it will also be able to assimulate other hardware and get smarter and some day destroy the entire world, but it will be able to play games with no lag ever!!!

Cant think of a name but it would have like a teraflop of hd space and a gigaflop of ram. You will have the option to install the game onto your console but it will make the disc trash pretty much so you wont be able to resell it. All online games will be seemless likes gears of war online coop but when people leave it wont disconnect you. hmm... it will be able to connect to any video output have bluetooth 3.0. It will be backwards compatable with all original xbox(360) games and will even be able to play pc games via the download thingy i mentioned earlier. It will upgrade all game to at least 1080p resolution (something better will be out by then so it wont be a big feat). Oh it has an internal disk resurfacer. Any errors are automatically sent to microsoft and tips/fixes are sent straight to your console (kinda like windows). of course it will be a dvr unlike that of any we have ever seen. will have blue-ray and hd dvd player. Somehow it makes u feel like u have surround sound and if u really do have surround sound ur gonna scare the heck outta yourself constantly cause it will sound sooo real. Built in wireless net connection and have dowloadable "skins" that once applied your xbox will change to look that way. Did i mention the best cooling system/design available so no rrod! All games are also fully downloadable via live. So you never have to actually go to a gamestore but once you buy the game its yours u only have a 12 hour return period.
Controller
You wouldnt have A single controller. Instead youd have like a hub that generates interactable holograms depending on personal preference. for instance if u play halo and u really wanna feel like youre in the game u can have it generate the weapons your character would be using like a machine gun, pistol or what ever your using. for soemthing like a ninja gaiden it could generate swords or what ever. havent quite figured out how character movement would work but the hub has a 30 foot range for multiplayer gerations. This eliminates the need for buying multiple controllers. And then for those of us that like traditional controllers u can generate your own custom or choose from a list of premapped controls. you can even upload controls from friends or live. So as not to scare the heck outa someone that comes home and see you carrying a humongo weapon special goggles/glasses will be required and gloves so u can interact with the holograms. The goggles pick up your voice. And if u r worried about having to wear glasses and goggles thats all taken care of the goggles do a complex scan of your eye and make it so you have 10/10 vision for the game.
something with a standard hdd, full hdmi output, higher capacity drive..... maybe more ram, but i really think there are only minor things holding back the 360 right now.  i think just something more reliable as well.... i have never had any problems, but it's always a worry.
The se xbox!!! But I really don't know what I want from it ... maybe a drinks dispenser and little voice that greets and interacts with you when you turn it on ... actually .... that sounds a bit to much like HAL and we all know what happened there ....
I dont know what it will be called but it should have A DISK CHANGER in it. Like 3 disks or so. It would make it big but it would be worth it to be playing a game like oblivion and see your friend playing Rainbow six and joining his match and the Xbox automaticly switching over to the R6 Disk. Think about it, Its pretty practical.
