So I've finally decided its time i make the leap to the newest generation of systems (my PS2 is in its final death throws). I'm pretty sure that I want to buy the 360. SO Toys R Us has a special this week, with the 360 Elite you get Forza and ODST (everybody has this special). The kicker is that you also get 3 free platinum hits with the system. So that is 5 free games for $300.I think this is a pretty good deal

What i'm hesistant about is that with E3 only being 2 1/2 weeks away, Microsoft is going to announce the 360 slim with better features, and maybe even a better price. Do you guys think it is worth waiting a few weeks to see what happens? Or do you think I should jump on this deal now?

the slim is still a rumor, MS hasnt even talked about it, and judging by the way they made the 360 when it first came out, it will fail, so just get the $300 xbox with 5 free games

Id wait its only less than 3 weeks away. June 14th you will know if they announce a price cut and/or a slim. I would rather wait, the 3 free games is pretty good but if worst comes to worst go on ebay or amazon and get them for like less then $10 each

Sounds like a really good deal actually. Waiting for a redesign of the same console is kind of silly. It's not going to have any new features and it's not going to be priced that much cheaper if at all. I would say getting five games will probably be the better deal.

Do you get to pick your hits? Either way, go for it.
