Anybody actually like the update?

I actually really like the update, I find everything to be much nicer. :D

Although It seems a lot of people are dissapointed?

I dont like it.

I dont like the sharp edges, the rounded was much better

I dont like the white, its over used.

Overall, i think they have tried to make it look to modern (and failed)

Not one bit. I still wish users have an option to use the old Blades dashboard. But I know its long gone. :(

I'll get used to it but to be honest, I don't really like it a whole lot.

Not only do I not like it, I actually hate it, it looks worse than the second dashboard, though I did like the original, and not only that, it's slower than the second dashboard, and I know people complained about the lack of speed with that one!

So I'm less than impressed, I want to revert back, but I know we're stuck with this for at least a year! >.>

It's very nice IMO

my xbox feelscheap with this new update :o(

I enjoy it more than the previous two dashboards by a lot. Very stylized and sleek imo.

To be honest i think that you are all over reacting a bit, its rather ridiculous. I'm sure that you will get used to it eventually. Microsoft dd the update for a reason and they obviously thought that it looked really good (which i think as well by the way), so why can't you all just stop complaining about it and just get used to it!!!

Wow, everyone hates this for no reason. It added ESPN which is awesome and its moving much faster. Do you really care that much about how the dashboard that you look at for 5 seconds looks?

I agree completely. The sharp edges on the boxes just make things look old.. and the white practically blinds me on my friends list. How am i supposed to look at that on those late game nights? They could at least use gradients, like grey to white, instead of plain white.. Or maybe an option to reverse, and put white on black?

I really enjoy! Though, as everyone else said, why white? I mean, back when Elites were the top of the line, they were black. Now Xbox Slim is out, still black. So why in the world would they pick WHITE? Black would match the Xbox, controller, all that jazz. At least let us pick. Other then that, voice quality is better. Ever hear a song on through the mic before? You can actually hear words now!

I like the update because frankly not liking it wont make it any better... and for the guy who said it took forever to download? what connection are you running DSL? it took me 2 mins tops to download it and get back to the dashboard.. get the checked out man.

what i really hate though is the changes they made to the 'Game Marketplace' the way it is arranged now is horrible, no option just to look at new releases anymore, now you have to go into specific areas (Themes, Game Add-ons, Arcade Games etc etc) to see whats new which means it takes much longer than before to see whats new o download, and also Indie Games have been totally buried in a place that most people will never look which i think is a real shame

it also seems to be much much slower than the old dashbord, long long loading times between areas and freezing up for 30+ seconds quite often, i have had it freeze up completely twice already and i have been forced to turn the console off at the wall just to get it to reboot

so all in all, no i dont like it one bit.....

I love the way everything looks, but yeah, the updates do take a lot longer for some reason.

What I'm interested in is finding out if they've changed the Xbox guide menu, and if the premium themes still function correctly. It would suck to have shelled out those MSpts only to have a couple of useless themes. (I won't be able to turn on my xbox to update until tonight.)El_Zo1212o

Well For a while I have been offline and I haven't had a chance to update anything (or use my DLC for the most part :_: ) but I have looked at a few videos of the new dashboard and well, I don't see too much of a difference. They changed some colors and it looks a bit boxie but all in all it looks the same, you still have 75% of your background image blocked making it still useless to have one and its still bulky and ugly. The use of white is a bit preferable to the over that sickly yellowed green color they had but I can see how late night gaming will result in eyestrain when you come from a dark game to a white menu to see a note from a friend. Its just too bad they didn't leave an option to use any of the past dashboards that way people can keep using what they like.
