[QUOTE="thepoop7"] My brother in law graduated from college with an accounting degree, is a CPA at his accounting firm, at the same time he is a full time teach at a university. He too has a wife and a new born baby, and he is getting Halo: Reach. BUT, if you just don't care for the game, that's understandable, but seeing how your avatar is from Halo 2, it seems real stupid to say that its time to "grow up". And you are only 25, stop acting like an old man.darth-pyschosis
I do like Halo. I also have a college degree and well paying job. I'm not dogging anybody who still wants to play video games all the time and buy all of the latest games. Believe me, I wish I were still 17 so I could do that too. I just have other responsibilities and priorities now, and spend $60 on a new video game can't be one of them.
I still play UNO on XBL all the time, and also use Netflix a lot. So I'm not "giving it up" entirely, but I am starting to phase it out. Just because I'm phasing it out doesn't mean I can't come on these boards and comment on games. I'll still keep up with the industry.
I just don't understand what age or responsibility has to do with anything. Gaming is like reading books, watching films, watching tv, and i doubt most people give those up due to age. Its understandable if you don't have the time, but if a person has free time available, no matter what other priorities they have, the point is its their free time, so they should spend it anyway they want. If a person doesn't have free time for 1 year, doesn't make them not into gaming, they've just been busy.
I don't see how phasing out gaming aids anyone in growing up. Why phase something out if you've got the time for it and enjoy it?
I know 50 year old Cops who love playing games
exactly. its a form of entertainment. still wondering why dude even needed to post that in here. who gives a cr@p
Not really, i'm not interested in reach, the only game i'm looking forward to so far are deadrising 2 and Castlevania, maybe vanquish but thats not sure.
For now i just revisit old game.

I just hate the thought of someone stopping a hobby because they think its the proper thing to do. Its awesome that you are putting you family first, almost everyone does when it comes to their hobbies, but its just the thought of giving it up so easily. I'm 21, in school, and don't play much anymore regarding video games, but Halo Reach will definitely find its way into my Xbox this September. BTW, not saying my brother in law doesn't put his family first, he has been on live once in the past 20 days. Either way, more power to you, but if you ever get bored while your wife is out with your kid, and you look at that Xbox of yours, you will know that there is still Halo Reach.... and you can still have fun! Thanks man! I might get Reach for Christmas or something. If you ever want to play that or Halo 3 just add me: placebeau
I've been playing old computer games like Morrowind and I' am looking to find an emulator so I can play Earthbound and I'll be buying Diablo Battle Chest soon. I think I can hold out until my birthday (Nov. 1st) or Christmas to get Reach.
Same here dude! I found a crappy old disk with CS 1.6 and I've been playing Mount and Blade again....Surprisingly its much more entertaining than any MW2 cr@pI've been playing old computer games like Morrowind and I' am looking to find an emulator so I can play Earthbound and I'll be buying Diablo Battle Chest soon. I don't think I'll get Reach, or any new game for that matter, save for GOW 3 next April (I want to see how they end it). I'm trying to phase out video games. I'm 25 years old with a wife and a baby on the way, unfortunately it's time for me to grow up.
Im 23 with a wife and 2 babies and a job i work 60 hours a week. I still find time for games. Im guessing this is probably because your wife nags at you. She will get over it. Play your games. Im 20 and live with my girl and our baby boy, i work and coach football at the high school i went to as a assistant lineman coach and i still game... yaa i dont as much as i did 2 years ago but i still get injoyment sitting down after a long day, crackin open a beer and ruining someones night on madden or cod...Please Log In to post.
