I have played all the old games in the series on pc and i preffer RTS games on a pc with the mouse and keyboard for controls. But this new one has some good control with the xbox360 controller. But im still getting use to using a controller and im getting MY BUTT WHOOPED ONLINE. hehe

I use to own people at starcraft online back in the day, but man am i getting beat quickly on this game on xbox live :?

Any advice for learning the controls better or any ideas for not getting whooped online?

Thanks in advance

Play through the single player campaign and practice and learn some of your opponents strategies.

  Try to skirmish a little first and find a good build order. Know how to make every unit just in case you need them in certain situations. Patrol and when possible, expand early. Don't turtle and pressure them. Those are some tips I learned while playing the demo and it gave me pretty good sucess. I hope to get the game soon though.

People are using a lot more strategy now rather than the old moto of "he who builds faster wins". Online compeition is fierce. I won my forst 2 or 3 matches... and today I lost 2 in a row... badly.

 Does that mean there's no more mass mammoths for GDI? That would be great.

Yeah as a person who is used to a mouse and keyboard for C&C it is pretty hard to get used to the controls even though they are quite intuitive. You kind of have to unlearn what you have learned. As far as strategy goes, its just like anything else... speed kills.

Exactly man... just takes some getting use to... and this C&C had some good controls for a controller, i havnt liked a RTS game on a console before, but this one changes that for me (;

Just gotta get a hang of it first with the new controls (:

Fun game though!

mainy people playing simply have the experience from playing it on the PC for a while and just adapted to the controls. I remember when the demo first came out. I downloaded it, learned the controls, and just rolled people online because I had been playing on PC for a while.
