anyone else here not really impressed with COD4?

i think it looks pretty sweet.

I'm more of a RPG gamer than a FPS gamer. And CoD4 is definitely up there on my wish list. The game looks to amazing to pass up.

Matter of fact this is the only FPS I'll be getting this year.......probably. lol

if its like anything else, it would be battlefield modern combat.... except COD4 looks like it will have a good single player because battlefield's was horrible!

No actually, you're both wrong, and Sleepisawesome, you are EXTREMELY wrong. GRAW definitely did not start modern warfare shooters. Ever heard of Operation Flashpoint? And i'm sure there were even a few that came out before that! And another difference between GRAW and Cod 4 is that GRAW is a tactical shooter while COD 4 is more of a fast paced shooter (ala no cover system). Also, COD 4 is FPS, while GRAW is TPS (with the exception of the mediocre PC version).

I actually thought this game looked pretty crappy in the videos. Everything is all stiff. When the characters moves his head in the videosit is real quick and stiff movements. Graphically this game looks good, but I don't see anything in the gameplay that makes it look any good.

By the way, I'm a huge shooter fan across all consoles and PC and I hate WOW.

I just wanted to say this is a smart dude. He understands that PC was doing the modern stuff a long time ago with the best tactical shooter ever made Operation Flashpoint. If you are into tactical shooters and have a good PC also check out ArmA. It isOperation Flashpoint's actual sequel.

ok, no offense, but seriously??? what do you mean youd prefer WWII fighting for now? thats pretty much the only fighting there has been in video games since WWII!!! im so sick of WWII games i could puke. we need more games from other time periods such as Vietnam, WWI, the Civil War. anything but more WWII. That's another one I forgot, ArmA, and one more, America's Army, less tactical, but a modern warfare shooter that came out before GRAW nonetheless.

It is. It takes place in 1985, but it has very modern combat.

I really don't think it looks good. I played the second and third Call of Duty and I though they were no skill tactical wannabe games. I have never bought a Call of Duty game because they try to be realistic, but fail miserably. Maybe Call of Duty 4 can change my mind when it comes out. We'll see.

COD 1 2 and 4 are made from the same company while COD 3 is made from a different company. COD is one of the best games of there kind

COD 2.great game

COD 3.liked the MP,but the SP was lacking.
