I have recently come across a box of my original xbox games, I tried playing them on my xbox360 but the games kept locking up about the time I got to the game menu. I have called xbox but they were no help at all and said they have never heard of that problem. I have all new software updates. I have tried clearing the cash, creating new accounts, just about everything, but if anyone out there has any ideas, I am willing to try. (Just short of paying money or damaging my xbox)

Look up backwards compatible original Xbox games on Xbox.com. If you don't have an original Xbox to play the ones that aren't backwards compatible, sell them for cash or game store credit for newer 360 games.

If games that SHOULD be able to run are not running properly IDK what to tell you ...sell em.

They have stopped creating emulators for original xbox games on the 360. Whats on the list now will not grow anymore. Still annoyed that they decided to create a emulator for Barbies Adventures and not Brothers in Arms, what the hell.

Sadly, all of the game I own are on the backwards compatible list.
