It's just a demo and Gamespot is swarmed all over it and also, gives us a precise date of this.. upcoming demo which some of us like me have played possibly more then 2 months ago. It was a japanese version but there weren't any translation required (subtitles) because the talking was in english. what I am trying to say is there is no difference whatsoever with the demo I've played and then the one they're releasing 11 days from now with the only difference is that the demo title for the japanese RE5 is written in their language. To sum it up, what I am trying to say is, what's wrong with the people? US,AUS,UK,NZ. We're playing some demo that is EXACTLEY the same (besides the demo title) that was out probably more then 2 months ago exclusived to the japanese country which was then ripped and reproduced on the net so people around the world can play it.. To be honest, I like this game, I will get it but i'm sick of this hype bantered all over gaming website forums. - This topic was not intended or relevant to console wars or any other illegal activity outside the PS3 thread description, simply argues that this game was out awhile ago for the japanese people exclusively.
RE4 is one of the greatest games of all time and RE5 is following in it's footsteps. I think we all have good reason to get hyped, even for a demo. The demo is allowing us to play the game a month before it's released. I think that's a good enough reason to get hyped. Not everyone got to get the demo early or even knew it was out and that easily accessible.

Firstly, you spelled 'appalling' wrong. Next, yes just because you already played the demo, that means everyone else did as well. Not everyone is swarming through the internet looking for RE5 demo's availible for download and playable on un-modded 360's. Plus since it's a Japanese demo, I bet most people didn't even know a demo was released for it already, since it was released in Japan, a country on the other side of the world. (Not saying anything about Japan, but I keep my ears open and I couldn't tell you what the current events are over there). Lastly, so what if GS is swarming all over it? It's a big release and the hype train is being built up for it naturally. RE4 afterall was given a lot of praise last-gen and in our sequel saturated industry, RE5 is looking to make big bucks. Also, other games have had their demo's releases pointed out as well. Just calm down and if you don't like how GS is presenting things, then stop looking at it. Oh yeah, by the way, I had the demo since early December as well.

a lot of people did not go get a japaneese version of the demo b/c well that;s completly pointless when you can just w8 a couple months and get it w/o the hassle. TC you need to calm down and allow everyone (including myself) who has not played the demo to talk about it hype about its certain awesomeness.
I'm not really hyped about the demo, or the game. I've been a fan of the RE series, but honestly, RE5 looks like an RE4 clone in an African setting. Unless there's something new and exciting, I won't be hyped. I'll be getting it, yes, but I won't expect for it to blow me away.

OK, what you said is such non-sense. Of course they're gonna give a specific date as to a high regarded game as "Resident Evil". It's not every day that a game of it's caliber gets a demo. There's ALLOT of hardcore and not so hardcore RE fans waiting on this game, and it should definitely not be ignored. Sure the Japanese marker received early dibs on a demo, but does that mean the gaming media should jump on that and make everybody else feel teased by it? No, long story short, this is a highly anticipated game on a MGS type of hype level, so stop trying to come up with any little negative thing because you've already played the demo and think it's lacking. (which in my opinion the game could've been allot better just from the little bit I've played of this game, but it's an AMAZING looking game that has allot of potential when released)
