Just wondering. Don't know if I should purchase a HDTV, I'm sure I wouldn't spend no $1000+ for a television! Does playing on a HDTV make much of a difference than the old tvs? I'd hate to spend alot of money over something that's not really worth it's price.1000stargeneralWith the world moving to HDTV signals this decade now is the time to start moving to HDTVs, so if you can afford it then sure, get one gfx are better, cleaner and you see more for multiplayer.... But. If you cant shell out the coin then stick with old TV till you can afford a new one.

its not a necessity for a xbox 360, but its a bonus. if you don't want to spend tons of money on HDTV, buy a monitor like me. basically, all monitors are HD and i spent about 200 bucks on my monitor and i could play it on either 1280 x 1024 or 1360 x 768. it's totally worth it.

Not worth spending thousands of dollars on a HDTV juz for better graphics. Anyway, it also looks great on SDTV.soproingames
No, HDTV are not necessary. The thing to remember is that the graphics are what they are....PERIOD!! An HDTV doesnt somehow magically make the games graphics something they are not. All a HDTV does is sharpens the image quality, smooths the edges and brightens the colors a bit. We have (3) 360's in our house with (2) of them being on SDTV's and the games still look great!!!kungfuchaos

We have two. Makes it easier when my boyfriend and I both want to play.
I'm so use to seeing PGR3 in HD that when my boyfriend was playing it on our older TV with composite, I asked him why he was playing Forza. D:
Once you go HD... it's so hard going back.

they arent needed, but are a big plus, its like going from stereo to 5.1 Surround sound, its a very enjoyable jump

The graphics are what they are. An HDTV doesn't add more Polygons or more graphics. But it does show them better. You say graphics are what they are and an HDTV wont improve that. But you are wrong. The Graphics on the 360 are all designed with HD in mind. They are all built with the ideal of providing HD quality. So no HDTV wont make your graphics look magically better. It's NOT using a HDTV that is making your graphics look less because they where designed to be in HD. Â
