Just a quick poll...
I'm definately getting it (:

Yup, I'll be buying it. The first one was one of the most surprisingly good games I've played and is by far the best comic book based video game. Probably one of the only games that really made you feel like you were actually controlling the hero, rather than a cheap imitation.
Do you know how childish and pathetic that makes you sound, refusing to play a great game just because of it's rating is one of the most retarded things I have ever heard. No, i wont be getting it, because i "T" rated games are not appealing to me anymore. Unless it is rated M then i wont be playing it. I did not play the first one neither.

On Topic: Yes, I'll be getting AA2 day one, great game, I loved it's really dark atmosphere, and the part where Scarecrow "crashes" your console was pure genius.

How is my statement childish or pathetic?
Just because i have outgrown to like "T" rated games, meaning games for 12-17 year olds, that have no mature content, does not mean it is childish but exactly the oposite. And by mature content i mean things that you can see in movies, real-life dilemmas or aspects that only more mature players would appreciate or be able to get into. You think i am some kind of bad a** 13 year old that likes to show off by playing only "M" rated games?.
You are calling me childish. Just because games like FF (for example) do not appeal to me anymore, because of their "kiddy" content does not make me childish but vice versa.
10 years ago i used to like "T" rated games (and i was getting chills when Sephiroth appeared on the screen), when i was actually in proper age category to relate myself to them. I am sorry but if you are old enough and still relate yourself to kiddy, superhero games then you need to get a job, a life or a family and then you will find out what i mean by the fact that i have outgrown the "T" rated games...
Now tell me would you rather play Batman or Mass Effect?
No hard feelings and cheers mate!
Played the first one and liked it... But I don't think I am going to buy the sequel at launch... I literally completed everything there is to do in Arkham Asylum in one play through... It was a lot of fun, but not worth $60 for one playthrough...

firstly i dunno about in the US but here in the UK Batman and Mass Effect have exactly the same rating so your argument makes no sense
secondly, not playing a game just because of its rating IS just childish, pathetic and ignorant, Batman:AA is one of the best games released this generation and it is a game everyone sholud play, but hey its your loss not mine

I'm 21 and still play batman your argument makes no sense there's a lot of great t rated games :?firstly i dunno about in the US but here in the UK Batman and Mass Effect have exactly the same rating so your argument makes no sense

Not playing a game because of its rating means that you only play games that are in your range of interest. Selective playing, if you want to call it. Not playing a game, because of any reason not just rating, but developer or any other category is a valid reason, so if you don't like a game because it is an arcade game (for example) does that make you ignorant, just because it is an arcade game, (even if it is a great game nevertheless).
So save your explanations mate. When you grow up you can qualify to express an objective opinion about the matter...

a games rating does not define its range of interest, it defines how much blood, gore, swearing and s3x are in it, someone who refuses to play a game just because it doesnt have that stuff in it is the imature one
and dont tell me to grow up, i would bet money that im older that you are, either that or ur just damn immature for ur age

*facepalm*, its rated the same as alan wake, assassins creed 2, Cod4, bad company 2 ect in theUK (15+). All of these are rated M in america i believe.

Exactly, out of those listed games i have played Alan Wake(which i am selling now) and Assassins Creed 2 which is rated M by the way (in US)...The rest are not good enough...

A trip to the Emirates would be a nice idea (when the season starts that is) both for you and me..
One more time end of story.

Agreed.
...............wow, just wow @ below -_-
anyway-
Batman:AA the only game this generation which hasn't fallen at all below what I expected, one of the most well made games I have ever seen, sadly it didn't have insane publicity, but there is not a single point upon which i can criticise it....if they top it, I will be stunned, but even if they fall below the bar, it will still be a worthwhile purchase
I will eventually. It's a shorter game, and I don't usually buy games new unless they're really long or have decent multiplayer.
And /facepalm at playing games based on language use and gore, but I guess that's your personal choice. There is a thing called intellectual maturity. I didn't know people over 17 even looked at the game rating, I know I don't.
Last time I looked at a rating was never.. It's usually when at the beginning start up of a game where they throw that PEGI screen at you. Even then, I play everything from Super Mario Galaxy to Gears of War. Makes no difference. They're all fun. But to each their own. I lost interest in Batman AA halfway through. Something about comic-video game adaptations just doesn't appeal to me. At first, I was really blown away and totally hooked, but a few hours later, I just didn't care for it so much.I will eventually. I think part of the hook for me was that I actually read a lot of Batman comics, and there's tons of "easter-egg" type stuff for people that were already fans.
Given that the first one was my personal GOTY, that I play it twice in a row, and that I was left wanting more, if the second one is like the first one then I'm getting it on launch day.
