I just talked to my mom!! She was a hard bargain but she finally let in! Im gonna get gears and oblivion with my 360 but i can never havegta because its a big NO NO!! als i cant have dead rising:roll: So Im about 99.99% satisfied (.01 still goes to gta and dead rising):P
Well my mother does not really care because we are not retarded like the other kids that go out and can't tell the difference between virtual and real life. My dad on the other hand will say stuff like 'This game is too violent too much cursing make sure you dont let it get too you' stuff like that...but deep down he doesn't care. Until 15 the "sugestive themes" automatically meant no. Until 14 T rated games were a fight and M was definently a no. If swords adn killing people was involved than my parents would just laugh at me so no games like Devil May Cry...
To make things worse I was the kid that everyone always called mature so they didn't even have the what if u kill someone excuse!
15 was a Good year though. Basically everything 'cept Grand Theft Auto is cool now. GTA is off though cause of all the negative media coverage... Dmaned liberals!
My parents let me buy w/e I want when it comes to games. Im 16 and they dont care if I play GTA. But If they change there mind about GTA4 saying I cant get it ill just say im 17 I can now by M games since my B-Day is the 19th of October and GTA4 comes out the 16th lol

Im gonna start shopping for games with my dad and if he questions y I asked him to go to the store with me ill tell him because my mom dosent lik me getting m games and after a while he'll get annoyed and argue with my mom if i should be allowed or not to have m games (my dad usually wins the arguements :)

hmm well that suks for you been getting my mom to buy my M rated game forever in the day not to mention i can get any one of my friends from school or even my brother to get M rated games for me
People are scared of what they don't know/understand. That's why most parents feel the way they do about video games, or the public in general. They think games like GoW are training youngsters to wage war. Rediculous yes, but until the stereotype gets changed we're SOL.
Microsoft needs to start making T games for the people who's parents wont let them play M games also I think 60$ for 1 game is ridiculous! Also just about the only E games that Microsoft has is either sports games or viva pinata

My parents arent paranoid about that at all the only thing they worry about is the price, thats about it. Maybe they might be if there are games that are R18+ which im sure there won't be.

my parents were a bit like that at first. I wwnt to a friends house once and played halo and my mom freaked when she found out i played an M game, over time though they kinda calmed down about it so i can get most M games (no GTA or anything)hpo3579
Maybe if you tell them that you are responsible enough for that game and its no worse then a CSI show? If they see your responsible maybe theyll let you get it.

I almost got Gears but the stupid employee had to tell my mom that "It is one of the most bloody games ever made" so now I'm unable to have it even though I'm 15 and have always showin that I am responsible.

Dude that's exactly what happened to me when I tried to get gta so im gonna get my coll ol gramps to atleast bring me to the store so i can buy the game with my own money and adult supervision also my gramps usually gets me everything or hell bring me to any store i want as long as its close by!! :)

its good that you have caring parents, it really is be thankful for that, but in return if they say no to certian video games, then they should enforce it in some of the music you kids listen to now, and the movies you guys watch as well.

my mom flipped when i started playin GTA:vice city..my mom finally accepted the fact that i was eventually gonna play M games...im sure its just a phase for ur parents, but if not, well ur screwed
