Kane and Lynch is more gritty gang violence stuff. Think the getaway but way more hardcore.
Army of two, is two hardcore vets fighting side by side pwning some noobs.
I think they will both turn out to be completely different games. Think the "Ha, im on 20 kills" "o really, im hitting 50" type humour vet thing for army of two. But the gritty hardcore shooter for kane and lynch.Â
I've never looked into the games to think that they are the 'same at the core.' I know I'll be buying Army of Two but I can't really say much on K&L as I've pretty much let that pass me by. What exactly are you looking at that passes them off as the same at core?-Zaku-
I'm just saying, they are both shooters and they focus on co-op game gameplay. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other games that do this too, I just happened to pick up on these two. I know the outlying gameplay will be different, but I'm just saying, they are kind of, but not really, the same thing at heart.
I see what u are saying and yea both games emphize heavily on co-op play. So on that point i would have to say yea they are similar. Although like a previous post mentioned K&L is more urban and there apparenlty yur partner will go nuts sometimes on u and not listen to wat he tell u. He is a psycho so it does make sense, and does make the game a bit more interesting to me. Not knowing when dude is going to go postal and maybe even try to off u adds a lil to the game I feel.
Army of Two is more military co op. Its said yur partner wont go all nutz on u but apparently the AI is advanced in the effect that if u are playing single player and you tell yur AI partner to go into a town square thats surrounded by enemy AI he will basically tell u to "go F**k yurself" and not go. Not like other games where u can send yur AI partner (s) into certain death and they dont say boo.
Both games have their extras that kinda differentiate themselves from one another so probably wouldnt hurt to rent both and see for yursef. But yes both are co op heavy influence.
