I'm going to have to say assassins creed, because every game is repetitive. Take gears of war, how many times did you hide behind something, aim and shoot, run up, hide, aim and shoot, run up, hide, aim and shoot?
How many times in fight night round 3 did you block, dodge and punch, block dodge and punch?
How many times in dead rising did youlead someone around the same mall to resuce them, and kill zombies with the same 50 items over and over again?
How many times in Halo 3 did you progress through the linear storyline and shoto baddies and progress and then shoot more?
You see, technically everygame is repetitive, but what I liked in assassins creed is the mobility to progress around the cities anywhere. yes, you get spotted, run and hide, rinse repeat. yes you pickpocket and eavesdrop and interrogate 2 times per level, and end it with an assassination (which is different each time) however its always in a different part of the city and the hardness level increases as you progress through the game as with most games. I personally don't find it borin gone bit, and i'm not saying ME is bad, cause i'm sure it is very good. But AC is not bad like most people on this thread suggest.
My advice, rent both and buy the one that better suits your personal preference.
