I hope I am wrong because I wouldn't like playing a game without achievements since I got sort of addicted to it. Secondly I'm alittle lazy to find the video since it requires minutes of research and hours of downloading/waiting.

I got bad internet, sorry. Me cannot afford good $20 Dollar plan. With good exchange..

i think thats one of microsofts requirments for game developers is to make achievements for their games..so i dont see how ubisoft could get away with putting no achievements into a game. plus that would be the first game on 360 that has bsolutely no achievements..wouldnt that be kind of odd for a pretty highly anticipated game?

think of another 360 game without achievements... there aren't any.

Even if the games has 10 achievements (100 points for each of the main targets), the game will have 1000 points like every other game has... don't worry about it

Not possible. Without any achievements, a game won't be allowed on the 360

You misunderstood. No question about that. Because games have to ship with 1000 unlockable gamerscore out of the box. Otherwise, it's not allowed on the 360.

I remember in the TGS demo I think, when she was on the stage with that Stefan guy or something.
She said something about completing the missions in different ways, then she said "you can compare this with your friends through achievements" or something like that. I'm sure there will be achievements :P

Games can ship with less than 1000 points, but the downloadbale content to take it up to 1000 points must then be free, hence Crackdown had only 900 at release and the additional 100 + 250 additional were in the "Free For All" pack.

If they're that lazy they can just do what King Kong did, 9 boring achievements you get just for going through the game, it would take like 2 seconds to implement.

I dont buy the, "there isnt time excuse", if they really had to they could just give all 1000 points when you finish the campaign.

MS dictates that all games on 360 have them, its a standard that wont be changed for anyone.

Jade Raymond is the producer, and I did not see that video nor do remember missing any so I do not know if the information you state is true or or false but if it is true then I think if anything they will add in an achievement for just beating the game or go through and devide them up by chapters or something in the game.

By there isn't enough time she means that there is no time left to present them to the people. Is this really a reason to worry?Kinda lame...

I would actually like a game on the 360 without achievements. They're really starting to ruin the fun for me.

Actually, they can ship with less but they have to provide up to the 1000 points with free downloadable content.

Anyways, the game will definately have achievements. My problem is that you said you wouldn't like playing a game without achievements? This game looks amazing and you would only like to play it if you get an achivement for logging 40 hours in the game, something you'll probably just leave the game running all night to accomplish? Doesn't make sense...

She just meant there wasn't enough time to get into describing them during the presentation. That's all.

there will be achievements, last year when she played the demo she said you could compare how you`re doing in the game by comparing achievements with your friends, etc. so there will be achievements.

This person has my answer. I'm pretty sure of it. Sadly I need to pay more attention to trailers since I don't really look at them twice, same goes for movies.

OH NO WHATEVER WILL WE DO!

who cares really about some points that bear no relevance on the enjoyment of the game? Its not the silly points you'll remember, it'll be the game!

People shouldnt be allowed to game if they only check if the game has achievements, and if it doesnt...wont buy it...its the most stupiest thing iv ever heard of. My GF owns a game shop and trust me, there ARE people like that.

Its really painfully obvious gaming is going down the wrong path. People dont game for fun these days, more so worried about some insignificant point system.

Maybe she means "no achievements" as in ... no something other than the achievements we know?

Plus, acheievements prolly only take less than an hour to put in.
