WOOT! Thank you, maybe now i can play halo without feeling like a loser that cant use a controller without auto-aim. And maybe now i can stop hearing "Im sooo good at halo, the auto aim is so nice" And maybe it will get rid of some of the kids that think there good and prolly cant play anything except halo 2.
I have NEVER played a game with auto aim...It may have a big aim window, but not auto aim...people will complain over anything. TrustCo1971

aim assist will be there. Auto aim is totally different. Thats like N64 games were you didnt have to do anything. I heard the devs say in a interview they toned the aim assist down a little bit

True, there isn't "auto aim" in Halo 2. There is TONS of aim assist and the hit boxes are huge, but there isn't auto aim.
auto aim wasn't really the problem. You are all misunderstanding what auto aim actually is. Auto aim is in GTA where it locks onto someone with the push of a button. What Halo 2 has is a huge aiming window or aim assists. Basically it makes it so any noob can pick up the game and do well. No skill involved. So heres to hoping all assists are removed

U unfortunately need aim-assist on console shooters. Its not as if halo 1 didnt have any in it.Â

i'm sure aim assist will be in halo 3. it's been in halo 1 and halo 2. so i don't see bungie taking it out for halo 3. most likely toned down to like how halo 1's aim assist was, but it'll be in halo 3.
