So, they have not told us what will be available for the avatar market place but here is a small sneak peek for all you people.

When the Avatar Marketplace launches, which is pretty soon, hence, the update that happened on the 16th so, expect it to be soon.pretty cool, when is this happening.

Are they going to be free because no way im paying?Tjeremiah1988Not sure about that but i could tell you that you'll be able to gain clothes/props and such by gaining achievements so now, gaining achievements has a bigger meaning to it then just bragging rights.

I think they already post the price. The interactive toys like Halo Warhog is about 400 MS Points. The cloths are cheaper, like 125MS Points or something. magicalclickYeah well, rest assured i won't be spending 0.1 of my microsoft points for these virtual items. The idea of unlocking achievements for clothes is enough for me, but, Having said that, say for example i buy an arcade game and im only left with 120 or 150 MS points...if thats the case then i may spend it on something instead of leaving it like that for nothing.
I'm all for it. The Master Chief suit looks cool, but when every other avatar on XBL is wearing the same suit...well you're just not "special" anymore.:P

I guess there's a lot of people willing to pay for that but I sure as hell wouldn't. I like the idea of unlocking them as part of achievement awards but not for real money.
That's neat.

Yeah, your Avatar can do your bragging for you.
Finally they do this :D It's a good idea and I'm excited, hell I'll even pay for something cool like once or twice a year, because you know they will put cool things in there.
Master Chief's suit, the GeOW chainsaw I'm sure, and more random stuff like that..
Oh, btw, that Halo 3 shirt I own in real life 0.o lol.
But I do hope many developers do the achievement thing. That's the best part of this whole deal :D Make the chainsaw an item you can only get for getting Seriously 2.0! Haha that would be braggable.
That's neat.

Yeah, your Avatar can do your bragging for you.
 True that. Well, what i meant was its more meaningful now to get achievements because you'd be you know, special looking then the rest:PThe fact that they would sell any virtual avatar clothing/items for MS points sickens me. I, of course, would never buy any of it, but I know a lot of people will.
On the other hand, I think the achievement point system is a good idea. If some items are only buyable with MS points then it will pretty much ruin that though. Everything that they would of just given us in a update will go to the marketplace for achievement points, and everything that people will actually want will cost MS points. Oh well, I never liked this whole avatar thing anyway.

Thats exactly what microsoft wants you to do with that leftover money. I'm staying away from spending any money at all for avatar crap.

That an ODST.
I want a Master Chief suit. I'll even buy one if I have to, but I would prefer it to be something along the lines of getting the achievement for beating Halo 3 on Legendary.

Even so, some things will likely cost money. If you have a PS3 you should know about the prices for things in Home, it's pretty funny. You want to look like Chris or Sheva in Resident Evil 5? Well that will be $1 for gloves, $2 for pants, $2 for the vest, $1 for a hat. Pretty bad, hopefully if things are priced the prices are a little more fair.
Wonder if the achievement thing will be done for older games or if it is just for newer.

i think that wasa racist remark haha, but i would like it if you could spend your gamerscore on items or unlock them with acheivements. You could have an overall gamerscore and then how much gamerscore is left over from what you've spent.
Not sure about that but i could tell you that you'll be able to gain clothes/props and such by gaining achievements so now, gaining achievements has a bigger meaning to it then just bragging rights. Really? Awesome.[QUOTE="Tjeremiah1988"]Are they going to be free because no way im paying?XxSTILL_BORNxX
I'd rather them cost, that way if i actually wanted my avatar to look good, i could make it unique, and not like what every other Tom, Dick and Harry has.
Oakfront
QFT.
that is so badass. and if achievements = unlocking items? fianlly! that makes it even better. but it will have to be a pretty wicked item for me to pay for it
Are they going to be free because no way im paying?Tjeremiah1988EXACTLY..... of course im sure they will NOT b free im willing to bet. at least not the themed ones
To have these free would be stupid, perhaps the acheivment would work, but they'd be losing loads of money if they didn't at least make them cost money at first to get at least some cash flow from this. Then maybe they'll go on sale or something.
