Average age of a 360 owner...

This is a poll topic for another post on this forum about the same thing. I'm putting a poll out there this time to acutally have something to look at...

The last aricle I read said about 70% of console owners where 20 - 30 year old male. I was also told by a MMO mod back in the day that forum members made up a very small percentage (mostly the hardcore gamers) of the community. A lot of those hardcore peeps are teens. So a poll here msy not be accurate. I do believe that the majority are adults though.SlayerX13

Ya i took that into consideration, thank you for posting and letting people know that this would only show results of the forum goers. I also think the majority is between 20 and 30 years of age.

19, Myself though you have to take into account this is a bit biased, I mean this site is not known to have alot of PHD or even adults around it is mostly youth more and more each day.

There fore your poll will most be allot of young kids with older college kids in the middle and older dads/moms at the bottom.

I'm 27 and working towards my phd now. :) My wife is 26, is an elementary school teacher and games and so does our 7 y.o. son.

I have always been curious myself, I have been playing video games since I was 6 and first saw an NES. Somewhere along the line I noticed I was consistantly the oldest person inside gamecrazy at any given time. Anyway i'm 24, good to know i'm not alone yet at this age bracket. However I can't forsee myself ever stopping my gaming, so at one point I will actually be the geezer at the game shop

True but i think at least 30% are 15-19, because almost everykid wants a 360 and we dont really have bills to pay so they can dedicate more of their income to a game console. im 16 btw

im 18 and dont think ill be playing games past the age of 24 lol

being 30+ and playing games seems a bit sad to me

i can't see thevalidity of this poll, as owning a 360 is not indicative of viewing gamespot....why don't you write gamespot and see what stats they have, as their registration covers all this for their marketing research.dugout41

I'm almost 24. Life long gamer / anime freak / book worm. Always will be. Also frighteningly athletic and most people don't seem to believe my nerdism. Hehe, this one chick at a media store in the mall when I was buying a butt load of anime refused to believe they were for me. Kept saying "but you don't look like one of those freaks." Yes I'm a guy and yes my avatar is a cat from Sailor Moon and yes I'm straight. I picked it to use in the Allakhazam forums to freak out the morons and it sorta just stuck. Oh well.

And I plan to buy a Wii before long and, whenever I finally snap, a PS3.

I've always been curious about the average age of a gamer for the 360. I'm 22 and I know a lot of people my age that playXbox 360. Just wanna seewas the majority is. Thispoll is interesting to me and its for others that wanna know as-well.Cujo31

NBC, CBS, ABC . . . one of them had a story on the other day that was about a report done that found out that the average age of a gamer is now 34 years old. That's awesome for me! I got many years to go! I'm 26 by the way.

Sounds like what i thought it may be,Few higher ups I mean I doubt PHD people are in the majority like I would be a fool to say deaf people are the majority of the US.

How ever it is also what I thought that most women myself included is 20-30 with more teen girls coming into it now, With alot of kids now it is just standard for every kid to play games with both genders.
