I'm assuming somebody on here has seen the 12 minute Battlefield 3 demo. Originally I assumed it was running on a high-end PC, but the stiff movements show signs of it being played with a controller. Does anyone know what platform it's running on?

Yea the media people that were there said it was running on a high end PC. (Which can use a 360 controller)I'm assuming somebody on here has seen the 12 minute Battlefield 3 demo. If its running on a console then its going to blow the graphics debate wide open again. I dont know which I want more, another step up in graphics, or an end to the constant graphics debates. TBH, I'll eat my hat if either console looks quite that good.
Dice have only been showing the PC version of the game.lawlessxThis. I've heard that there is a significant difference between the PC graphics we've been seeing in trailers and videos and the console versions. It will be a great looking game I'm sure, but DICE already stated they are developing for PC and porting to console, which will almost certainly lead to a major graphical downgrade. Oh well, if playing a downgraded port saves me the $2000 a good gaming rig would run, I'll take it.

I've heard that it was confirmed that it was running on the PC on a single gtx 580 card like the other guy said.
the thing is, its not going to cost you $2000 to get ur games to look better than the current console games. $1000 is near good enough maybe even less if your building a new pc. 300-400 if you're just upgrading less if u just need a video card.

My point is that I already spent $400 for my console and it will last me 10 years. I'd have to spend double or even triple that to remain abreast with the PC industry for the same time period. I already have a reasonable PC, but I'd rather spend $60 on a console game than $3-400 on an upgrade + $50 on the game. Easy choice for me. I know I could make a decent--not great, but decent--gaming rig for about $1200 because I've looked into it. I just don't see the point when the only PC exclusives are strategy games or things like ArmA that can run on older hardware. Maybe if PC can come up with a huge exclusive I'll fold and build a new rig, but for now it's work I don't have to do and money I don't need to spend.[QUOTE="lawlessx"]Dice have only been showing the PC version of the game.sixgears2This. yeah, im really hoping DICE shows some gameplay from consoles during E3. im curious to see how good it will look on 360 or ps3. Im sure it will still look good, most likely better than bad company 2 since its on a whole new engine. I thought i remembered reading an article somewhere where DICE said it will be the best looking game on consoles as well. I hope so.
