Its just as useless as the garages in pgr3... I still end up just picking my car from the list.luvbeers
and it may very well seem that way to you, but others may find it more appealing than a simple list.

well whatever... it won't be launched until around Halo 3's launch so I doubt it will make any impact.

Maybe you could also go to the virtual store and buy a game that is virtually good? Or play games on your virtual 50" HDTV in your virtual living room.luvbeers

 homes trailers = apple trailers
homes games = flash sites
homes interaction = chat rooms / vent/ teamspeak
home = a waste of time and just adds all these ideas into somthing that really is not interestiong just to push psp sales and to make it seem like they are original.

I'd rather be spending my time playing games then walking around a virtual space meeting people.

I hope they close this thread. This is pointless. Reason #1 why I think fanboism is stupid. Fanboys are just narrow minded kids with no interest for an open discussion. You can't compare the two. Period. You got Live, which is a straight forward get down to business service, and provides it well. Home is a Sim/Second Life service where you "expand your virtual life with virtual goods". My preference? I rather sign in, get a game invite and get to gaming. I am not a fan of stuff like Virtual World to know people and buy virtual good to decorate my virtual apartment. That's just me. Other's might find that appealing, I just don't. I prefer what Live offers, and think of Home the same I think about myspace, just a place for emo people to unite and do what ever they do. I don't like stuff like that. The only good thing I see about Home is that it's optional. So if ever the PS3 gets off it's butt and does thing right and finally awes me enough to purchase one, and with the current price tag it has to drop at least $200. But hey, if this makes all the PS3 users happy, then I am happy for all of you. I wouldn't use the service. You will spend more money on that thing than you would on Live. Achievement points might be stupid to some, but an addiction to others. Id the PS3 offered the same system, in which those points are the ones used for the purchasing of virtual goods, it would make things a bit better. It won't make it different than Xbox, but at least you won't spend real life money on virtual useless goods. Sony will offer this for free 'cause they are wanting to take advantage of consumer addicts(for a lack of a better word that might be censored) to pay for this service. But again, if that makes the PS3 users happy, good! I will stay with Live. The important thing is everyone to have fun!

all in all this sets the difference between targets, Xbox targets the video-game player. XBox has an hardcore feel, minimalistic approach to a almost perfect online gaming experience. It succeded in appealing a broader audience with the 360 model (the original was way tooooo hardcore), though, but it is still but a video-game device at heart.

PS is a multi-media device, wich happens to run games (PSP is the perfect example where Sony is going, they sell lots of units, but nobody buys its games). It's meant to push stuff that are Sony's core buisness - HD TV's, Blu-Ray movies, music distribution.

My "scene" is video-gaming, but I know many other people get their "kick" out of Sony stuff better (read above). To each its own.

If someone would now actually decide to buy a ps3 because of home, there is something wrong ! I like to chat and communicate with people while playing a game or something, and not have to enter a special place, where you can't do anythign else than talk with people, and look at your trophies..Home is a big joke!
