Best Hack n Slash game

I dont care what anyone says, AC is DEFINATELY not hack n slash

Most of the suggestions in this thread are Beat-em Up / Action Adventure. They have some element of leveling but it is really linear, they are missing the one main thing classic Hack'n Slash's have provided us with MASSIVE LOOT!

Classic Hack'n Slash would be games like Diablo, Diablo 2, Baldur's Gate, Champions of Norrath. Most of the games mentioned here Ninja Gaiden 2, DMC4 are good games but they don't give you that prolonged gameplay that traditional hack'n slash games do. Where you can beat the game, replay with your leveled character to keep leveling, select from multiple character types, etc.

Anyways, I have only found one somewhat worthwhile Hack'n Slash "Kingdon Under Fire". got some really cool armor sets, but the looting system as a whole is weak and the level designs are very uninteresting. The only one I know of coming soon is Sacred 2. And I'm praying it'll be good.

Dishwasher. For some reason I had a lot more fun with it than NG2
