best rpg you've played

Besides Fallout 3 or oblivion, what is the best RPG you've played on the xbox 360.

Mass Effect is an excellent game with a great story, great characters, fantastic voices, and just a top notch RPG that actually let you decide what happens in it.

Lost odyssey is an excellent old school JRPG with a long story, great characters, excellent voice work for a JRPG, dreams are well written and pretty emotional, great boss battles, and etc.

Well since I can't say Fallout 3 I would have to say Mass Effect.

Fable 2 and Jade Empire tied for 2nd. Well I guess Jade wouldn't count because that was original xbox.

Oblivion for 3rd. Yes i'm one of those guys that liked Morrowind better. Oblivion has it's pros, but there just isn't that much variety in the game. "As far as the places you explore go I mean".

besides Fallout 3 and Oblivion, it would be a hard choice between Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey.

Tales of Vesperia is the best for me on the 360, followed closely by Fallout 3.

Lost Odyssey was good as well. I'm currently playing Mass Effect.

I did. The ending kind of left me hanging though. It was disappointing.

Also, I hate Cooke and Mack with a passion.

dude, not to be a jerk or anything, but i am SO sick of people talking about what a great rpg oblivion is. I thought that game sucked. The leveling system was awful, the combat was COMPLETELY PITIFUL. I didnt feel compelled to level up in that game or anything. It felt useless to make my character any stronger. Oblivion is one of the worst rpgs ive played. Just my opinion.

I've played Fallout 3 and Mass Effect so far, and they're both great games. I like Fallout 3 better at the moment.I wish I got a 360 earlier, I still haven't played Lost Odyssey or Tales of Vesperia.

So far for the 360 I've played Oblivion, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Fable 2. Bioshock (which I don't consider to be an rpg, but WTH) Eternal Sonata... I'm currently playing Tales of Vesperia, and already purchased Lost Odyssey and Star Ocean: The Last Hope.... As you can see I'm a big fan of rpgs, out of all of those, the ones I've most enjoyed are Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Tales Of Vesperia... being Oblivion my all time favorite. Fallout 3 was awesome, but the fact that you couldn't get over level 20 (in the original game, no expansions) and the way some weapons could never be fully repaired, made me a little mad sometimes.

As for jrpgs go, don't know if you're into them, the one I've liked the most so far is Tales of Vesperia (which I'm currently playing) because of the main storyline and characters, you just get so involved with them. So far I've put 43 hours into the game (sidequests and all) and I think I'm about 60% done, maybe a little more. It's one of those games you don't want to finish :)

Eternal Sonata was also pretty good, but I became a little tired of it towards the end.... I'm still to play Lost Odyssey and Star Ocean, which are supposed to be really good also.

RPG's are just taking too long to come out period. Japan has some that we don't get...

I Know it sounds stupid but i liked fable 2 the most. I Just enjoyed The Game alot

Apart from oblivion and fallout 3 erm...there has been a few i enjoyed.Star ocean:tlh,lost oddysey and i liked last remnant;o

mass effect and fable 2 are pretty good if you already have oblivion and fallout 3

Tales of Vesperia and Mass Effect

Mass Effect is great and so is Fable 2

1- Mass Effect

2- Fallout 3

3- Fable 2

4- Enchanted Arms

5- Dark Messiah:Might and Magic

Tales of Vesperia hands down. It has a great story, fantasic characters and a addictive combat system.

Like most everyone else says, Mass Effect, but only because Oblivion isn't an option...that one is by far the best I've ever played

I'm gonna have to say Mass Effect since I can't say Oblivion.

And what was so great about Fallout 3??? I played it all the way through and yeah it was an interesting twist on a game. But it was DEPRESSING!!!!!!!!! The whole game is walking through land that's been torn up and it's always rainy or cloudy and gloomy outside. It's just a dark game in my opinion.
