Which game does everyone think has the best use of achievements? A lot of the launch games had too easy or too hard achievements, but they are getting better as of late. I think Gears' are perfect. There are some pretty easy ones, some that take some work, and some that require you to be an addict, but its a great blend. What's your opinion?
Oblivion's are pretty good. It makes you play out every facet of the story and complete every guild's questline. For single player I think it's good. For multiplayer, Lost Planet's aren't half bad. It's not as insane as Gears, it just takes some effort to get.
Gears is pretty good. There's a nice balance between online and offline, but the 10k kills is a little over the top. It does challenge you to complete the game on difficulties other than easy, and online it makes you try out weapons you might have never touched. I think it may be the best use of achievements. I also liked Burnout's achievements, which reward you for both online and offline play in a similar way.
i think achievments should stay offline. online achievments are unfair and often impossible when playing games with 0 people playing online (looking at you quake 4, the outfit)
