bestbuy and the elite

ok i live in northern California and i cant seem to find a elite anywhere. Does anybody know the next shipment date???? bestbuy??

my xbox died on me 2 months ago and so i went back to bestbuy and got a refund for $432.99 ive already been through 2 xbox pro's already!! i need the HDMI since i got a 61inch DLP 1080P Samsung tv.

Well I didn't get mine from BestBuy but when the Premium launched I did get that one from BestBuy.  What I did is I got up every morning and called them at the opening hour and asked if they had recieved any.  If they said "No" I would call back about 2 hours later and ask again.  Early in the morning some employees may tell you no without actually checking just because they're brain dead at that time of day.  It only took 3 days for me to get a launch console by doing this and I didn't have to wait in a long line or pay $2k for one on Ebay.

I also called all of the BestBuys in my local area when doing this - starting with the one closest to me and then working my way out.  Different BestBuy stores have different shipment arrival dates - so the one that is closest to you may get them say on Thursdays while the next closest store to you may get them on Wednesdays.  Anyway - call them everyday and you'll get one.  It's too bad you're locked in to BestBuy as it seems like Walmart has been getting shipments nearly everyday where I live - and it was pretty easy for me to get one there.

What part of NorCal are you from?

I know on the 29th (Elite Launch) that I arrived at BB (Attached to a mall( 20 minutes after they opened and they said that they were sold out.

In my head I was like, "No way they sold out in 20 minutes" and walked  down to Software Etc. and ended up picking up an Elite AND one of the Wii's that were in stock. The Elites were still in the Shipping boxes(4 Elite Boxes per Box) there. 

Either BB is stockpiling them at Warehouses or they REALLY are selling that quickly. At $480 AND with the summer coming up (down-time for video games) I doubt that they're selling that quickly. *shrug*

over here in calgary,canada i went to bestbuy, futureshop, walmart, HMV and all of them had like atleast 4 elites
