Over the coarse of the last 2 days my xbox has developed some strange rattling noise. I though"no big deal its probably hot" i turned it off and went to sleep. The next morning i was hoping this noise stopped..... it didnt, so i called microsoft and asked them what to do. They basicaly said hey look if you aint got the rings of death we could realy care less. but we would be happy to try to fix forma hundred dollars. my warrenty was up.

any advice as what to do, like buy a new one or somthing. but please dont say " hey have you tried that towel trick?"

That is why I don't call them unless it is absalutely nessasary as they will always tell you to send it to them.

I would tell them it is the RRoD even though it is not. I have heard a lot of people doing that and getting it fixed even though it is not the RRoD. Either that or just keep playing it. I am assuming that it is working fine right. If it is just making a noise and you don't want to send it to them just keep playing it and maybe you will get the RRoD after a while.

if it has nothing to do with your disks being unplayable why do you care? o_O but if you think it does put in a game that you dont like/play very much. see what it does :P
