Bioshock, do you believe the hype??

After the marketplace servers crashing I realized how much people are really psyched for this game, I can't wait.The demo has only made me want this game more. What do you guys think? Game of the Year??

Im still freakin amazed by the water effects in the beginning and through the whole demo

the demo was very nice and i was VERY impressed with this game. This is definately going to be a must buy and possibly GOTY.

When u first start, you just get sucked into the game. Very moody game, and those splicers definately scared me a couple times which is what I want the game to do. Everything you might have read about this game or seen will not compare until you play this game. I was very excited to play with the plasmids. Everything just runs smoothly. Sorry for bad english as I'm still a little excited from playing the game. :)

To sum things up, GET THIS GAME!

I don't understand that. I lot of people have said this. I personally thought it was obvious it was all ingame even from the plane scene, and the water in that first spot where you can move wasn't all that impressive. It moved and looked like liquid silver. Theres also a text prompt that pops up showing LS to move about 10 seconds in.

Don't get me wrong this game is absolutely incredible and from a SS2 fan, I'm still very excited to play it, its just not perfect.

Where did I say SS2 was perfect? And I was playing at 1280 x 1024. It's not the resolution that made the water look bad. Halo 3, HL2, and LOTRO have better water effects. Though I did enjoy the water going down the stairwell and when the plane crashes in.

Hell yes, I do believe the hype. I can usually tell when games are going to bust, and if this game busts, I'll personally order a pizzafor each GS member. I'm nearly positive that it'll be a great game.TM_Darkside

To be honest it was my second time through and i was planning to swim to land (other than the entrance to rapture)and I just got around the lighthouse. So I began swimming forward for a while and I turned around to see my progress and to my surprise I hadn't made any progress. I didn't notice there was invisible wall there lol.

At first I thought- Big whoop its only another FPS, but then about a week ago I look at some vid'sand I realized it had a great story, good looking gameplay, and awesome graphics. When I played the demo I thought:"no demo I have ever played was as good as that." I played it 3 or 4 times. GOTY 2007!!!!!!!

yea tell me about it. i started downloading it at about 8am. it didnt finish until 3pm. and its not my connection because i downloaded the stranglehold demo which is the same size and it finished in less than an hour, even teh halo 3 beta downloaded inless than a half an hour. so to sum it all up...OH DAAAAAMMMNNNNN i need this game now!

Horrible game. The graphics and story are pretty good, but the aiming scale/movement is lackluster. The aiming movement, moves and performs with very few frames. Halo 2 still holds the standard for that. Most of these people who are voting "hell yea" are people who probably have not even played the demo yet.

Its a shame, the type of hype this game is getting. It performs poorly. Please, i hope they dont do multiplayer for this game. This game reminds me of PREY, with better graphics and story.

I started mine last nite at 9 and it didn't finish til 2, but it was worth it

it took me exactly 49 mins, i tracked it with liveeye. stranglehold is 11 mins

I am one of the few people who were not that impressedby the game...by no means do I think that it will flop or sell bad, I just did not care for it that much. Old boreing gameplay, tacky Plasmid powers, and dumb plot. However I cannot deny that the atmosphere, mood, and setting of the game is absolutely astounding and fresh. Overall I would give the demo a 6/10.chandlerr_360

Old boring gameplay? Are you kidding me? Yes it is first person shooter but besides that its not "old" or "boring." How many other games can you hack terminals, fight bosses (Big Daddies) anywhere in the game world, interact with neaarly everything in the world, harvest little girls, customize your weapons with tons of different ammo? And how is it boring? It is some of the most intense gameplay on the 360. Splicers jump around and come from nowwhere and lurk in the shadows. the gunshots are all really impactful and brutal

Tacky plasmid powers? I dont understand how they are tacky. Insulting the plasmids are like insulting spells in an RPG. They make the game. And where else can you summon bees from your hands or create a tornado trap

Dumb plot. Lmao. An underwater utopia ruled by a geneticly enhanced dictator with the society eventually being destoryed due to the rampant addiction to ADAM. How the hell is that dumb. It has never been done before and is being praised. Utopia is a very strong theme in novels, movies and literature and hasnt really been done in a game before.

I prefer not to let hype influence any of my decisions. But it's hard...

When it comes to games tho.. I almost always wait for the reviews before buying.
