hey i've heard this game is great and i'm sure it is... but i've also heard that you fly through it and then you're done. Is this game worth purchasing? or maybe just a few rentals
must own IMO, right after you beat it you want to play it again, it has alot more depth and you really don't appreaciate it untill the last few levels i'm on my second play through on hard this time, its really an amazing experience
It is a great game. It's kind of irritating being able to beat the game with the Wrench though, that and the ending was weak it was quite pretentious, but if you utilize all of the weaponry and tactics and appreciate the aesthetics, it's an own.
I wouldn't call it an absolute must own or you're going to hell game, but I bought it myself, and don't regret it although I believe it could deliver more than was promised (for instance, the "moral choices" things that were hyped to death).
efinant rental my friend, which is sad because its such a goodgame, but most the people who bought it sadly wasted there money. Theres basically no replay at all. def. a MUST RENT for sure. Rent it, i'm sure you'll see it my way, and if you don't..your out 6 bones vs 60
Now, if you've got your heart set on buying a game, buy halo.
I agree 100x with the guy above me. If you won't buy Bioshock, what game will you buy? F.E.A.R? Bioshock is an amazing experience, that's you will want to finish twice for the alternate endings and different play styles and choices you can make along the way. It's really a no-brainer. It's one of the few games I've never had no problem giving a '10' to.
IMO rent it to see if u like it then if u do buy it. I myself was not all that impressed with it I felt it had a great story, cool characters, but just wasn't revolutionary enough.
IMO, must own. Technically, it may be possible to get all 1000 achievement points for the game in a single playthrough, if you know what you're doing, and likely if you have bought the player's guide for it. But the point of Bioshock isn't just playing through to get achievements. The quality of the story telling in the game, combined with the way in which the world seems to tell its own story just by pacing about and exploring it, experiencing the depth and breadth of Rapture and the characters... It is really hard to describe, but the story is fantastic, and probably one of the best single player experiences available on the Xbox 360 right now. A game like Bioshock only seems to come around once a generation... don't miss your opportunity, please. :)
I rented it for 5 days and beat it within that period. It did take me a while, it being part FPS, but even then, I wouldn't buy it because I don't think I'd feel as though I got my moneys worth from it. It has a GREAT story, and amazingly fun gameplay, but one run through it and you'll know the entire story and be bored of the repetitive enemies.
So rent it, and if you really love it, you can go buy it for 60 dollars.
it took me about 30 hours to beat it bcuz i played it on hard like it was meant to be played and i searched for stuff a lot and you'll defintiely want to replay it so i'd buy it
