Blacksite Area 51 to top Gears Visualy?

I downloaded the demo, and the graphics are awesome. The rain effects are sweet and the character models are on par with Gears. Could this game take the place of Gears being the best looking Console Game? Also, Mistwalker is starting to say Lost Odysey is starting to look better than Gears of War. black_awpN1

the demo doesn't look bad, but its not mind blowingly good.

there is also a lot of slowdown.

Who cares how good it looks, this game sucks real bad. Its just another generic shooter. Zwig

i downloaded the demo thinkin it was going to be a great game, i thought that it was rubbish. gears is way better. graphics on gears smash blacksite. i found the frame rate on blacksite was teribble. it was juttery as hell.

 i no its only a demo but they could of made it a bit more playable. i deleted it after five minutes & went to play gears instead.

 anyone else agree with me?

What are you nuts?  I downloaded the demo as well and there is NO WAY the graphics are on par with Gears.  Its not even close man. 

Who the f*** cares, man, lets just hope that the gameplay is better!  I gotta be honest, except for the occasional "wow moment" in Gears of War where the graphics shined, I was way to busy having fun sitting next to my friend beating back the hordes of bad guys to really notice the excellent graphics.  That is how games should be; awesome gameplay , with graphics as a side benefit.mrbojangles25

thats the thing about graphics.  Its one of those things that arent necesarily the most imporatnt thing in a game, but if the graphics are poor, you notice it right away and it can ruin a game too.  Anyone that says they TRULY dont care about graphics would NEVER of bought a 360.  You can have just as much fun on a Wii while paying half the price.  Graphics ARE important.    ESPECIALLY when you are paying $60 for a game.  This generation, if im gonna spend money on a game it not only has to have good graphics, the game play must be awesome and the sound must be top notch.  And guess what, gameplay can be affected by graphics.  Anyone who says other wise has their head up their ass and thinks they are too cool to say otherwise.  Gears would not be so immersive if its graphics and sound were sub par.  But the audio and video is top notch...by the way has anyone played Gears in 5.1 surround?  I got a home theather system a couple weeks ago and MAN that is sick.  Try the first half of Act III right when you enter the facility.  Amazing stuff.

The demo was largely unimpressive and short. I liked it the first time the tall monster came at me after he was downed. When the second did exactly the same, tha magic disappeared. The graphics are nice, yes, but not that nice. I like the enemy models though. And the semi-destructible pillars.MadMinstrel

I only played the demo for a few minutes once, but I liked what I saw, especially the destruction in the surrounding area.  The car, the pillars, the gas pumps. 

I think the graphics are pretty good, I was being distracted so didnt notice the slow downs very much.  I did notice some odd lighting effects at the begining of the game.

It could be a GeOW killer if the graphics look good and they have a much longer single player game...

I really like the gun controll in this game, it feels really good for some reason.q8hr

You raise a very good point.  I am just trying to say, however, that when you focus yur resources on one aspect of the game, something else usually suffers.  So, for example, a developer who focuses on great graphics and the latest technology might forget to focus on making the game fun.  Thankfully this wasnt true in Gears of War's case, but it happens a lot in games.

I admit a certain minimum standard must be met for games released nowadays, but I feel that most people would still chose gameplay over graphics if they were forced to pick one.

This game doesn't look that good. I mean, they used the Unreal engine and still botched it.

Its all in what you like. I was a GOW nut before it came out. I was going to get a 360 at launch anyways, but knowing GOW was comeing out and all the HYPE...I had to buy the 360 and Gears....

After beating GOW I found myself very disapointed. Visually, and sound wise..It was fine, but it was boring and just not that much fun....And online was just plain sorry and boring and just blah to me...Only played it maybe 10 times online...No replay value so it just sits here in my game case.

Now Blacksite demo was what IM TALKIN AbOUT!!!...As soon as it started I was like WOW!..Look at the lights, the lightning, the rain, the characters...Easy to play...And the SOUND!!! OMG....I turned on my stereo and blasted it....Good LORD it was awesome...

I am getting this game for sure..100%..I just hope it has splitscreen coop and the lag gets cut.....
