I can't imagine replaying it, once you figure out the puzzles you are kinda finished, unless you want to do a speed run or collect stars for an alternate ending.
I will say this, anyone who says they beat the game in 5 hours is a liar unless they had help with a puzzle of two, or three, or four...
I cheated on two of the puzzles and looked at the forums (was getting a little frustrated) and I spent almost 10-12 hours on the game.
The brilliant ending level alone is worth the $15 imo
I loved the trial version of braid and am going to buy it soon possibily, but I have one question. It says in the gamespot review that it never gets old- does this mean that it has a lot of replay value? I'm just wondering since the game is supposed to be like 6 hours to totally complete it and I want to know if I'm just buying it for a one-time exxperience or something that will last. Thanks.SyrenzBraid cast a terrific first impression on me but as far as it never getting old... I dunno, I haven't completed it yet and I'm already kind of tired of it. I know I've spent longer than six hours on it, because I'm dumb and have come across a few puzzles that have me staring at the screen for 45 minutes before figuring them out, and a few I haven't figured out at all. But that goes back to my taste in games -- I personally don't enjoy being confused and not having any idea what to do. Unless you're good enough with puzzles to figure it out in a hurry, that is what you will come across in Braid, and that is why Braid has gotten on my nerves. I suspected it could be that way coming in, but I was very happy with the demo and gave it a chance anyway. At this point, I am leaning towards moving on immediately after finishing it, assuming I will figure out the remaining few puzzles I still have left. Coming into it I thought it would be something I'd want to try to get 200/200 gamerscore on and go after the speed run, but right now I'm not sure. That said, it is a quality game and I don't regret spending $15 on it. I don't regret supporting a game like this at all.
braid's the best xbla game ive played so far
i've been going at it for about 3-4 hours now and im on world 4
so i guess the whole game should be about 12-15 hours for me without speed runs and stars
[QUOTE="great_rulo"]Guess you havent played a lot of arcades...mfp16
I own almost 60 XBLA games... this is the best imo
I was talking to the desperados guy, anyway if you've played Castlevania: SOTN, Geometry Wars, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, Geo Wars 2, REZ HD, Boom Boom Rocket, Alien Hominid, N+, Streets of Rage 2, Contra or TMNT i just cant believe you still think this is the best, i know its all about opinions but the first 5 i mentioned beat the crap out of Braid, not bashing it or anything but its far from being the best.
