Hey guys, as those of you who are excited about this game should know, this game is set to release tomorrow! I unfortunatly however have only seen ONE review so far, which was OXM's 9.0 rating. It was a terrible review, as most magazines are, and I am really looking forward to reading some more reviews.

if anyone finds any reviews, can you please post links so I can browse through! Thanks!

I just dont think it really answered anything about the game. They said the positives outweight the negatives, but they dont really go into what those negatives are......ok they say there is some cover problems, but what about it exactly? is the multiplayer set up well? is there any customization, how do the weapons feel? etc. etc.

i say, if you are the fan of the series and you are looking forward to this game, then just get the game.
yeah reviews are nice, but why not experience the game for yourself first rather than have someone else explain it to you.

although I love the series, im sure you will agree that this fall is INSANE for games....I personally do not like to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on video games in a short period of time....ESPECIALLY with Christmas right around the corner....I have kids and a wife to think about. that means, for me anyways, if BIA is scoring an average of only 7 or 7.5, then perhaps it is in my best interest to wait a while on the game until it becomes cheaper, and focus my attention more on far cry 2 and gears 2.

As far as I'm aware BIA: HH isn't scheduled for release until Friday the 26th. That's the UK release date anyway. I don't really pay to much attention to reviews, you can get a good feel for a game by watching videos or seeing screen shots, you can also go on the strength of the developer most of the time. Even though this game has been put back a total of 2 years i still think it will be just as strong as the other games in the series. I can't wait to get my hands on it this Friday!

Where I'm buying it it says that the game comes out on the 25th (I'm from sweden). Hopefully I get it one day early like I did with star wars TFU. Or for that matter, every other game I buy from that store. Except for the really big games like gears and halo.

its a big change from call of duty. call of duty=run and gun and if you were to use those tactics in brothers in arms you will die almost immediately, especially on higher difficulties. plus, brothers in arms you have to rely on your squadmates whereas your squadmates in call of duty are merely cannon fodder and have no intelligence whatsoever, neither do the enemy ai in which call of duty just sends 100's upon 100's of them at once at you to make up for their stupidity. if you like something more like rainbow six or ghost recon and want that type of game in a world war 2 setting then ide say thats what BIA will be like. so, depends if you like rainbow six or ghost recon and whether you want a ww2 game or not.

oh and the only two reviews so far are oxm, 9 outta 10, and playstation magazine, 7 outta 10. i read the oxm review and it didnt seem as though he actually played the game and instead just took what he saw was new from the trailers and incorporated it with what BIA games have been in the past to make up a review and score that he thought would fit the game because from what ive heard magazines and sites did not get prerelease copies for review so yeah. i think oxm's review was crud, but i typically agree with almost all their reviews so lets hope im wrong and that it was a true review.

this game better get a 9 or above there is no reason why it was pushed back for 2 years when no new features have been put in the game. I loved the first BIA but am really frusterated it took so long to put out the next gen game. Esp when so many other games are coming out this fall. A summer release would have been way better.

I'm curious on some peoples opinions - this is a WW2 shooter and people sound excited about it. Then why are people always down on COD with it returning to WW2 in pacific battling?

I like Brothers in Arms games over COD games because there is a lot more strategy involved in BIA. Also, the game makers actually visit the towns they re-create with a military adviser, learn tactics, fire weapons from the WWII, and study the history in detail.

Bottom line is BIA games are a lot more detailed and realistic.

Best bet is to check GameRankings.com, they list all reviews (in mags or online) and give you an average.

Eurogamer just gave it a 7/10 :(

They said it was repetitive, dustructible cover isnt as destructible as current games (BF:BC), enemies have the same faces, your squad cant kill an enemy to save their lives (you have to shoot them), etc...

Basically they said this game would have been the sh*t back in 2005, but Gearbox really didnt make any major changes since then. The game has potential, but didnt live up to it in 2009.

That's fine with me! :D Glad they didn't muck it up.

People need to understand that not every game that comes out has to set the new standard for graphics, gameplay, sound, etc. I'm glad that Gearbox stuck with the tried and true formula that won them so many fans from the first 2 games. I don't need this game to show me to the next-gen promise land, I just want to have fun and experience the continuing BIA saga.

The only games i currently own are Halo 3 (beat it), COD4 (beat it), and BF:BC (got bored of the single player and multiplayer)

Going to trade in BF and maybe COD4 to pay off some of my preorders, guess ill give BIA a rental after EG's 7/10 review. The problem is ive been waiting for this game for so long, guess thats the problem with the game... The delays hurt it, rather than helping it

Teamxbox - "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway is a video game that I can best describe as a schizophrenic masterpiece. You'll see the best that games have to offer—often quickly followed by some of the worst."

I agree....I know I JUST said that Reviews Arent Everything, but after reading that review...I am disappointed. With so many great games coming out in the next few months, the fact that this game is seriously flawwed and the multiplayer is minimal at best, I am afraid this may no longer be a purchase for me, and become more of a rent...

Well, I guess I'm going to cross this off my games to buy list. We'll see what IGN has to say, but after waiting for so long, I just expected something better. Looks like I'll be buying Lego Batman instead.

uhh last time i checked, a 9.0 means superb. isn't that extremely good? or are you one of those fanboys of a series that is not satified with 10 by every reviewer?

Read a review in September gaming magazine that gave it a 7 out of 10. The experience of real time war was its major plus. But cover, weapons, and graphics were on the downside. I would wait to decide to spend 60 bucks until more comes out. It just might be a game to wait for until the prices comes down. But I would expect it to be like many of the others in the series except for a more personal touch.

2 eights actually, but before people count this one out you should probably wait on bigger sites reviews such as ign, gamespot, and gametrailers...why are we making immediate decisions on eurogamers opinion?

Exactly! I've never relied on them ever when making decisions. I don't rely on any site for my purchashing decisions. These scores haven't changed my mind. Plus a 7 is still in the "good" category.

Because you pay 60$ to experience it for yourself.

And if you hate it you lose your money, thats why you read reviews.

Exactly. I am not at the point in my life where my main expense is video games thanks to christmas / birthday / allowance. I have a wife and kids, car payments, house mortgage, a cottage and student debt to pay off. so if reading reviews is going to help me wade through the crap and get to the good stuff, then thats what im going to do.
