Brutal Legend's length is turning me away from the game.

i was so pumper for this but...

only 7 hours? i thought they were going to pack 25-40 hours into this. 7 is not enough and i won't waste my money on it.

anybody else think the length is an issue?

I'll probably rent it only. It looks amazing fun for one playthrough.

I just rented it today,8 bucks for a week, enough to play it 2 times and enjoy the mp I guess :P Im saving up for Dragon Age O.O

Fable 2 did the same thing almost. I beat the main story in about 12 hours. Probably not even... But all the side missions and DLC gave me an extra 12 or so.

I would say yeah... 7 hours maybe even 6 if you played on easy and skipped almost all the side quest.

I'm just over half way (53%) and I played about 13-14% per hour. That's with a side quest here and there.

It's not long. But there is still plenty to do.

i still can't figure why there was so much hype for this game. has brutal legend lived up to it? anyone?

All and all I would say wait, yes it is amazing, but it is a bit short and the side missions dont add to much because they get real boring.

Through my experience, the game play is well over 7 hrs "especially if you do the side quest and look for collectibles..." I'm on my first play through and have spent more than that just killing and collecting stuff.

Well for me quality>quantity, but yeah, it does seem on the short side. Still going to get it though!

Just don't get the hype for this game...it's like playing Spyro the Dragon or Crash Bandicoot, a 7-10 platformer is okay I guess, but not for me.

I got the game at 10 am yesterday. Granted I played other games for a few hours Ive been up all night and still playing it. Havnt finished it yet...

I spent $60 on it and I can tell you right now it's the best game out so far this year. It's easily my favorite Xbox 360 game so I could care less about the length and by the way it does have multiplayer but I haven't tried it so I'm not sure how fun it is.

Well many people aren't buying Call of Duty for the 4-hour campaign. They're buying it for the 100's of hours the online multiplayer gives.

I've gotta admit that I'm disappointed to hear the single-player isn't longer, but I'm hoping that the multiplayer(which I heard is good) will have a decent online hold to boost the value of the game overall.

I'll still probably get this either way, but I might wait a bit longer than I originally would if the game was a bit longer. I really wanted a good, lengthy single player game(I'm getting Forza 3 and MW2 for sure), and while good, it doesn't really strike the 'lengthy' box, ya know?

Meh. Disappointing, but not a complete deal-breaker.

Videogames today are short, deal with it. Fable 2 was about 5 hours, just doing main quests. ODST is apparently 5-6 hours. MW 1 & 2 are both 5-6 hours. Just the way games are today, personally I hate it, but Brutal Legend is awesome in every way so its worth it.

I agree. I'm gonna wait a while and get it used for like 40 dollars.
