Buy COD4 a SECOND TIME?

Well, my PS3 took a dump and it will be gone for a minimum of 3 weeks. So, heres the deal, I have alread purchased COD4 for that console because my brother and I were able to play as he only owns a PS3...

I have both the 360 and PS3 and was thinking about buying the game for a second time and just starting all over on my 360. Since I just bought a 3 month Live subscription I will be on live for at least that long, I figure if I am going to pay for I am going to play on it as much as possible....

So long story short...$120 for one game? Would you buy it a second time?

Edit: For those of you who say no, feel free to suggest an alternative title to pick up instead.

It's a great game, but I wouldn't fork over another $60. Go rent it at blockbuster if you're that desperate.

unless you want the game of the year edtion, no. Buy something else to tie you over, not the same bloody game. And if you DID want the GOTYE, I think it will be an add on for users who have just the basic COD4 for a small price of $10.

with the game of the yr version out in 3 days, id wait,

I must admit, I am very suprised by the resounding No. Only a few of you say yes.

The one thing that is influencing me to go out and buy it again is the fact that I have a $50 check in the mail from my Aunt, Birthday was earlier this month, so I guess I see it as a "free" second copy once I get that check.

Yeah, I was just doing the math on that as well... Really though, I do have a few games I may get rid of, I guess if I could get the cost down to $20 after trading in other games I no longer play it might make a little more sense..

Rent or Buy, Rent or Buy....Either way I will be waiting for the GOTY edition, that does come with the maps that will be available on XBL right?

Rented R6V2 and just wasnt all that impressed....I was Playing MLB the Show when my PS3 took a dump and started getting disk read errors, so good suggestions but with the PS3 down I need a game for my 360...

Currently I am playing Orange Box TF2 and Portal, and Viking BFA, but Viking is getting old fast and COD4 was my main stay on the PS3...so thats why I was leaning toward a second copy.

Well good, now if I do buy it I can say atleast I didnt buy it 4 times...

CoD4 is worth buying a second time in my opinion, but not if it's just for a different system or the original copy isn't broken.

I myself have bought two copies of CoD4 because I moved the 360 (on accident) while it was in there, and thus wasted $60 for a new copy.

never. not for $60 at least. you're better off spending your money for something different.

and alternative titles I could recommend would be Orange Box (if you didn't already play Half Life 2 some time ago. don't count on TF2 to make you happy). Lost Odyssey's pretty awesome if you're not looking for a shooter. Haven't played Vegas 2, but it sounds good.

Nah, there are other good games out there.

I don't know what you own but just try maybe Mass Effect, Gears of War, Halo 3, BioShock, DMC4, anything. You don't need to spend money on the same game again. Buy something new with your money.
