I personally hate rainbow because the graphics arent even in the same vicinity as CoD 4. CoD 4 has Marines in war torn envirnments while Rainbow has a bunch of fruity uniforms online. The charecters arent even tough in rainbow, everything about cod 4 is gritty, from the voice acting to the hard rock they play every time you rank up. When cod came out all of my friends rushed to the store to get it, when rainbow came out, not a single one of my friends has purchased it yet. CoD 4 has set a new standerd for shooters, the other companies better step up. There is alot more i can say but i just don't feel like typing that much.

lmao what's "gritty" about people jumping when you shoot at them or or having double the health of everyone else (juggernaut). Or how about the double tap perk which magically makes your fire rate double? Or maybe the random spawn points all over the map that keep things from ever actually being tactical because people constantly spawn behind you or NEXT TO YOU? Come on man, Call of Duty is a good game in its own right, but gritty is about the last word I would use to describe it. It's like a toned down Halo with real weapons.
With 4 new maps coming out April 3th, every one will still be on COD4. Every one is still on COD4 more than Vegas 2 any way since Vegas 2 didn't do so well.

Set a new standard for shooters? Lulz
Fruity Uniforms? You can't even customize your character in CoD4
There's nothing gritty about hard rock solos and voice acting.
Well if you like run and gunning, Airstrikes, Choppers, and the John Elway edition of frag tossing then stay with cod4. Thats game is too nib friendly anyways. Kill cams? wow....

First of all do you even know what gritty means, hes talking abt the graphics, the enviornments, the atmosphere, the attitude. You talking abt the perks and stuff really has nothing to do with the grittiness of the game...and theres nothing wrong with the perks either, they are all well balanced, so if someone chooses juggernaut like you said, he wont be able to choose some other perk, so its all balanced...and the original poster has a point, Vegas just has shi*ty graphics...they should really have stepped their game up for the sequel...
Lol, Okay, First off to put it in lamens term- the gridyness of the game is something you do not seem to relate to, because you know nothing of the authentity of the military, you see there is no need for charecter customizations when they have nailed every thing on the dot. Go on WWW.USMC.MIL look at the pictures of some real Marines, they havent missed a single detail, from the Digital cammies, the vests, everything resembles the real thing. If you are PHYSICALLY FIT in the Military yuou SHOULD be able to climb over small walls, jump, and run. I dont see why you would want a game with no sprinting ability. If you want a more tacticle and slooowww experience, then play on Hardcore, or Hardcore Search and destroy where you no longer can respawn. Realistic is not moving slowly, licking off a few shots, throwing a flash, then camp behind a wall for a while, No, Griddy is laying heavy suppresive fire on your foe, while your team of Marines rush them, with gernames and lots of heavy fire.

So you would rather have preset characters than customizable characters? :?
So true...haha pull the other one...[QUOTE="killercuts3"]Vegas 2 takes skill. Probably why everyone hates it so much. jason_jx
It was bad in so many ways.Im sure skill is the last thing on peoples minds!
Vegas 2 was so bad.I hope they stop making them or give them to another developer...xchiefmegadethx

lulz, the graphics are far from "gritty" man, I don't think you know what that word means. A couple of burning barrels and some blown out buildings on each map do not make a game gritty, the feeling of the game is what makes it gritty. And it's hard to think of COD as gritty when you have people jumping when you shoot at them or running around with health symbols popping up when they get hit. And the "hard rock" music or the "attitude"? LMAO. Come on, COD is not anymore gritty than games like Halo, it just tries to put up a war torn look to trick suckers like me into thinking it might be cool.
And about the perks, what is balanced about a 3 frag(all over the middle line right after spawning) juggernaut, martyrdom/last stand? Or how about a double tap P90 with steady aim? COD is the LEAST balanced game I have ever seen because only in COD can you run into a guy with the exact same equipment and have him beat you because he magically made his gun shoot faster or do more damage than yoursand has double your health. Rainbow guns are the same for everyone, so the deciding factor is skill instead of little kiddie gimmicks like perks. But you probably suck at Rainbow anyway, so you just enjoy Halo In Iraq and keep telling yourself how "gritty" and tough you are for playing it.

I'm glad your kidding cause I have plenty of friends that are in the marines who would loook at you like an idiot if they heard you actually say that to them. No military has "rushed" an active enemy that is firing at them since WW2. You are seriously tripping on some serious phumes if you think anyone does that.
screw cod4...im tired of that piece of trash game....honestly it consumed my life, then i stopped playing for a month, now everyone is in their 10th prestige, and the matchmaker sticks me with 10th prestege people(screw spelling idk which is right) and being in my 2th(rofl copters) it is no fun. ill probably buy the maps....saying eveyone is still on cod4 more than vegas? not true...i honestly have more fun with vegas co-op, co-op terrorist hunts and multiplayer...its a much needed break from the rambo style run and gun of cod4.....jimmyobo
Just because people are in the 10th prestige doesnt mean there good. I've played people like crazy around prestige that high and destroyed them. I've only done Prestige twice.
Now on topic, I'm enjoying Vegas 2 as a coopesque type of game. but i'll stick to CoD4 for online.

i agree with that...vegas 2 just didnt have the polish that it should for our 60 bucks....im not someone who needs perfect graphics but im just saying that if im gonna pay 60 dollars again then i want at least upgraded graphicsCod4 is an amazing game but its problem is no cover system and without it, it's not really true to real warfare. Don't get me wrong i used to love it but it got repetitive like any other game after a while. Then i got r6v2 cuz i have the first one and altho the graphics only improved a little its still a fun online experience because of the great customization and challenging ranking up(excluding those gamers who feel the need to "boost" or exploit the infinite spawn glitch)
