If I were to camp not saying I do, but if I did immediatley after killing someone I would aim straight in the air so all the kill cam shows is the sky or the ceiling or down to the floor. I also would use the jammer. But that's just how I would do it, if I did indeed truely camp which I don't... :roll:
On cod4...please stop camping on stairwells and just waiting till someone tries to walk up them. Thats one thing halo3 has on cod4...no camping...if you camp on cod4..the radar will pick you up. On cod4, you can camp the entire game with no penalties.Spinbrett
I dont see that much wrong with camping i mean i admit i dont camp but its just another tactic to get some kills and not get killed. you can have 100 kills but if you have 90 deaths then u still suck lol, another thing is how much can u really camp? i mean when i play there are people running around the whole map its hard to just stick in one spot without being killed over and over again.

exactly, it's a stupid complaint. if i hear you coming, crouch in a corner, wait for you to come into view, and shoot you, it's your fault for being so reckless. my goal is to kill as many as i can while dying as few times as possible. if you want to run around like a tard be my guess. you're an easy target.
Camping is a tactic and has its advantages and disadvantages, like any other tactic. I think the advantages of camping have more or less been covered in the previous posts, so I will only speak to the disadvantages.
When you camp, you are "fixing" your position. It is easier to hit a stationary target than it is a moving one. Also, people usually camp in confined spaces, making them vulnerable to grenades. I have flushed out campers with grenades several times. Either the grenade kills them, or I shoot them has the try to escape the grenades blast. I have also had the same thing done to me.
Honestly, I do not see how "camping" is regarded as "unfair".
I don't care too much about camping. I just get motivated to hunt that guy down and kill him. On most games (Domination, Headquarters, etc) I don't bother with objectives. My teammates can do that. I just go kill the other team. So if a camper gets me, he better move 'cause I'm coming for his azz. Deal with it or play Super Mario Bros. 'Nuff said.
Camping is annoying, I don't get why people find it fun. TC, I do disagree about Halo 3 not having camping. I stopped playing because of the camping levels. Halo 3 shouldn't be about camping but it was becoming that way. Its very noticeable on the training level (can't remember the name) in the sword room and also in Snowbound (I think thats the level), where the shotgun is.
Anyway, camping is very annoying but it can't be helped. Just make sure you kill them is my advice.

I hate people that snipes from far away hide outs and people who throws grenadeds and get lucky kills. The worst of it is when people hide and camouflague themselves to a dark place, then wait for you to walk by and kill you. Also whenever there's a dead body on the floor, people will go down and camouflague themselves to it, then kill you as you walk pass them. The game shouldn't be called Call of Duty 4, it should be called Call of Camping 4 like the topic. LOL!!

For the last time majority of random grenades aren't random. It's not random if you study spawn pints and assume you may get kills.Also, of course people will camoflauge themselves,it's so they can't die.

Hah! That reminded me of some guy I met on CoD4 called Warpig (part of a clan, Orb or something) and he wouldn't stop whining about everything. You name it, spraying, martydom, juggernaut, knife, Saw, sniper. Some people take these games way too seriously.
martyrdom is a far bigger problem than camping, its utter s**t!!!im tired of killing someone in close quarters only to have them somehow pull a grenade while im pumping lead into their face and me having to sprint off straight into another ememy's sights to avoid being blown to pieces.It's unrealistic and there is no skill involved at all.

First you guys will say,"then we should mindlessly run around on the battlefield like an idiot", WELL GUESS WHAT, thats better than camping. Lemme give you guys an example, if we dont mindlessly run around and just camp, who is gonna get killed? NO ONE!! And do you know why no one gets killed, its because no one is moving. It doesnt take a genius to know that.
I actually give credit to those people that runs around and actually doing something, than @sshole campers. Why buy a game adn just sit there doing nothing. I thought we play games to move around and have fun.

Played COD4 for a long time, but I think I'm finally getting bored with it. I get annoyed with people on my team who die to much, I get annoyed with martydom perk, grenades, campers, snipers. I think it's time to hang up my COD4 boots and move on to another less annoying game. Will still play single player though.

Erm there is a kill cam for a reason. you have grenades for a reason. You have UAV for a reason (unless the guy is jamming). Its not even that hard to get rid of campers in this game. In halo 3 you can spawn camp in levels like narrows, isolation and valhalla etc etc. Dont say there is no such thing as no camping in halo 3. All i gotta do is crouch and Im invisible to the radar.
Also what in the red hell are these penalties you speak of? What if you sit in the same spot for more than 5 secs in halo, the forerunners come back from the dead and snap your neck? Come on dont try to praise halo 3 claiming there are penalties for camping.
