Why? Because alot ofit takes more of learning instead of killing. I learned how to take cover, conserve timeand peak out slowly when playing the game on veteran. It's very challenging and intense and it doesn't get boring. The others are really unique and will make you want to try it out. Also, it's achievements are all single player meaning that all of them are attainable if no one has xbox live, xbox live isn't working or that no one is playing multiplayer on it. If there's any game out there that that devs need reference on their game's achievements, I'd have to say Call of Duty 4.
I whole-heartedly agree with you. It's a nice mix of easy and hard achievements, as well as some fun ones. I'm one to believe there shouldn't be any online achievements - since I'm sure there are tons of people without it. I think IW perfected the system, but now for every other company...
Veteran is pretty hard...only been able to complete two missions...I'm trying to do Charlie Don't Surf on veteran right now.TigerFangRed
It takes a bit of time & effort, but once you learn how to get through and finish them you'll feel good about it. I know I did. Thank goodness for checkpoints.
I love the achievements to COD4 and I wish all games were the same... they are challenging, but not impossible... there are other games that are just ridiculous with the achievements... like GRAW... there are 3 seperate achievements to be ranked in the top 10 of 3 different leaderboards... those are probably the worst achievements in 360 history...
But this game is perfect... this is the first 1k gamerscore I have felt happy about since hitman... all the other 1k's I got were just "woo 1k now what"... this game is actually fun to get achievements for...

im doing that one now. its sucks cuz the enemies are raping me:( and when i got the the part when i was suppose to headshot the guy......the timer was up-_-

I actually think that's a pretty good idea. It gives people an incentive to keep playing multiplayer. The prestige emblems are just for bragging rights.......but when you think about it, so are achievements. I love achievements though.
