Ok, weird question. I've been doing some testing and it's been very inconsistent.

When I get a chopper I hold onto it until I die. When I die, I immediatly call the chopper in. Now here's the question. Sometimes The kills the chopper gets me, count towards UAV/Airstrike/Chopper, and other times I get nothing for them. Does anyone have any clue why or how it works?

Thanks for any insight, sorry if it's been discussed before.

Count towards the chopper as in towards getting the XPs?cgoliver

No towards a kill streak or another chopper. Here's the Scenario

Get 7 Kills - Let yourself die - Immediatly Call in chopper at respawn. The idea is to get the chopper to help you get kills towards another Uav/Airstrike/ and eventually another chopper. But sometimes the kills count towards the streak, and sometimes they don't...I don't really have any clue why.

I think you're on to something, that's kind of what I thought was going on, but I think there's more to it than that. I'm going to do some testing today on it when I get home from work, I'll report it back for you guys.

Here's what I'm going to do...

I'll get a chopper - Die - Respawn - I'll get 1 kill, then I'll call in the chopper.

and I'll repeat this process, getting 2 kills then calling the chopper. then 3 kills etc etc. I know it has something to do with you getting a kill. Or else in shipment people could just get a chopper, and hide until they got basically infinite choppers.

If you die, then the kills it gets you count towards a UAV/Airstrike/Chopper. If you don't die, then only you're kills (i.e. not the chopper's) will count towards another set of UAVs/Airstrikes/Choppers.

So you're saying, Get 7 kills - Call the Heli - Then let myself die? and the kills it gets will work towards another 7 streak?

I don't think that's right but I'll try it.

While that does work, I am saying your Chopper will only give you points towards another set of rewards if the kills it gets are after you die. But if you don't die, your own kills will count up towards another set of rewards anyway.

Has the chopper ever gotten you another chopper because i'm quite sure it doesn't count its kills towards your combo after 5. If I'm right and that doesn't reslove your confusion then I don't know.

No I don't want a kill streak, haven't you found out by now? I want infinite choppers :)

I don't think this has happened to me, at least not that I can remember. It does sound very strange though.

It seems to me that I cant get any set of rewards after I get the chopper. It doesnt matter if its by my gun or by the choppers. And if I respawn then it continues to count towards my kills but not towards rewards. Ive come back to life and had a chopper kill 3 and not get the recon until I kill 3 with my gun.

It's important to remember that UAV's, Airstrikes, and Choppers only occur at 3, 5, and 7, kills in a row. Therefore, if you get say 7 kills which brings in the chopper, and then go on to get three more kills without dieing you will NOT get another UAV. The cycle does not restart until you die. So if you call in the chopper and then suddenly die, any kills the chopper gets after you respawn is added to the kill streak counter which has restarted at zero.

To sum it up, yes chopper kills count towards your kill streak, but after you get the chopper you cannot get another chopper or any of the other call in benefits until you die and restart the counter.

I know exactly what you're talking about. It's a glitch/bug, I've had it happen...I had a chopper up and EVERYTIME it got a kill it would say, 3 kill streak press right for UAV over and over and over(I could sit there and push my UAV over and over but it never worked...)

Yes that's the point of the thread. But it doesn't work as intended, from what you are saying, which I pointed out before...Someone could get a chopper, Die on purpose, and hide somewhere on a map like shipment and wait for the chopper to pick up 7 kills, but that doesn't work. Somehow you have to make either a certain number of kills, die at a certain point (either before or after you call in the chopper)or a kill at the right time to actually reset your counter and start another streak.

I'll do some testing tonight for you guys, it's just very inconsistent. I don't understand why the chopper works for your streak sometimes but not others.

The UAV worked for me but it just would not go further than that. I had to personally do it myself.

i think that it depends on like if you are getting kills with it, it helps you, but if youre just hiding it doesnt. hope that helps!
