Call of Duty 4 M16A1 or AK-47?

I have been wondering what weapon is better in call of duty 4 the M16A1 or AK-47?

People tell me the M16A1 is the best weapon in the game and others tell me the AK-47 is the best weapon in the game.

PLEASE HELP

I play Hardcore S&D and S&D most of the time. And use the M16A1 with a silencer on most levels but i also use the AK-47 with a silencer.

They both work very well with stopping power.

I just want one of them i can use almost all the time.

M4... I love it because you can shoot it fully auto or burst...

but between those two 'm better with the M16 but I like the AK better...

The M16 is better for long and average range because it keeps it's power. The AK47 is better for close/average.

Oh, and that isn't an M16A1, it's an M16A4. The A1 models were introduced during Vietnam and have single shot or fully auto. The A2 model introduced the three round burst, but has since been replaced by the M16A4. The A3 was more or less an A2 with an A1 fire control group.

I prefer the M16A4.

P90 silenced use banelior, its wicked, also double tap, so much ammo nothing will live. i do prefer a silenced m16 over a ak47 because of acuracy, add stopping power if strength is your issue.

As far as COD4 goes its not even a matter of perspective or comfort with the gun. Ive used both plenty of times. The conclusion is this, The M16 in this game makes practically every gun useless except for SMGs in tight quarter since you can dance around bullets while looking through the scope. Without stopping power in regular matches, it can kill in 1 burst if all the bullets hit. With stopping power you dont even need all the bullets to hit.

The AK47 is really only good for spray and pray but even so it does poorly at spraying. Its firing rate is too slow and you shouldnt bother wasting a perk on double tap. Another thing about the AK47 is its horrible accuracy. At long range you need to be lucky to kill someone with it. Where as the M16 all you have to do is put the scope on the baddy and shoot.

Yeahhhh because double tap on an already super fast firing gun makes extreme sense :roll: Double tap is a useless perk. Stopping power and UAV jammer are much more worth it. I'll let someone else do the honor of calling you the big bad noob. ~_~ If you silence a gun you better be using stopping power especially in non-hardcore matches.

Not true, my friend. The AK is powerful enough to get CQ kills with a silencer w/o stopping power that I find the UAV jammer to be a much better perk 2 (in combination with Steady Aim). For wide open levels like Overgrown, the AK is not the best choice. But the more claustrophobic locales are money with silenced AK, Bandolier, UAV Jammer, and Steady Aim.

mix it up..that's why they are there...

I have alot of fun with a silenced AK..

i love the ak 47 its just so much more powerful than the m16 and its more accurate than most people think
