Halo 3: Custom maps can last you forever (race tracks for example), Lots of different game modes/playlists, Theatre mode for making videos, taking screenshots.

Mw2: Amazing campaign, good online (although, im not a fan of it, its full of campers, glitches, overpriced map packs ect).

I prefer halo 3, i've had over 1500 matches in total.

Both boring games! Battlefield: Bad Company 2 kills both of them!hkymike

Agreed, i went on it this morning and hadn't been on it in ages, and WOW, such an intense battle.

Its also kind of an insult to Infinity ward comparing a late 2009 title to a 2007 one.

MW2 takes no skill, Halo 3 does.

bought Call of Duty 3 and saw how much it blew and I've never bought a game by Treyarch again... If they can actually put some time and innovation into a game it might be worth buying, but as far as I'm concerned they've only made half a$$ed games so far. Tomemogus
If you've only ever played one game by Treyarch then how do you know that they've only made half assed games?

This made me lol. I think it's more remarkable if anything that a late 2007 title is still relevant in the FPS war rather than what you said.

Really, weren't we doing this like 2-3 years ago? If the argument between such an old game and such a new one is still relevant, can't we just assume that Halo 3 is better than Call of Duty 4/MW2? I mean, the only separation we have between good and bad games is how long we play them before the company needs a new one and/or we all get sick and tired of it.

Personally, I like Halo 3 better because I don't get hacked everytime I play and I prefer Bungie overall. They seem like a bunch of guys I can chill with. Also, how many companies have a forum where you can practically change the settings in the game with your and others' comments. They really are dedicated to their fans which makes the game that much better. They also update their matchmaking options a lot, so that things are fresh even 3 years down the road.

I've read reviews and played the games they've made at friends houses.

My vote has to go to Halo 3 in this one. Both have a solid single player mode, though I believe the most popular mode is most likely online multiplayer, and that is what most people are probably discussing. Taking just online multiplayer into consideration, I think Halo 3 definitely wins this one. Don't get me wrong, MW2 can be fun, but it can't compete with the longevity of Halo, plus, Halo multiplayer is very well balanced. MW2 online multiplayer is broken. It's unbalanced and supports lots of cheap methods. A prime example being the "One man army" perk. Halo 3's multiplayer is incredibly balanced, as well as incredibly fun. I think MW2 was hyped up to be a lot better than it really was, and I think people are just now starting to realize this somewhat. To each his own though.
