So who else out there has completed one/some/all of these games on vet aka "random death" mode.

What games have you completed on vet mode and which one did you think was the easiest on this setting.

I've completed cod4 on vet mode and now I have gone back to cod2. Cod2 has started to take its toll on me.....I am close to giving up....

hehe, same here.:P COD2 is ridiculously hard on Vet. I'm still very early into the game (I think I've completed 3 or 4 missions). I've completed all the main missions in 4 (still working on that damn Mile High Club one:x), and the first couple of missions in WaW.

Actually come to think of it, i've not done the mile high club on veteran - but that is kinda a bonus mission. By the time I'd finished the main game on veteran it was late so I went to bed.

My mission is to eventually complete all the cods on veteran mode, but cod2 might be the end of me! I got soo stressed last night that I actually got a headache!

I hear that world at war is very hard on veteran mode as well - possibly the hardest of them all? I've not started that one yet.

Yeah, it's hard in the cheapest way possible. More grenade spamming than ever, ridiculous enemy spawning and more. I'm not really that far into the game, but I can allready imagine how hard the last mission (downfall?) will be...

I died more than expected on just the normal mode, so I assume this game on vet is going to take the last of my sanity away.

COD:WAW is easily the hardest in vet mode. Stupidly huge amount of grenade spamming. If you don't want to be a hero and don't rush up to the enemies, they will just keep spawning with more and more grenades :( . IMO, COD 3 was a bit easier in vet mode than other COD games.

Ah great! Nad spamming and respawn points. Some of the hardest bits on any veteran level.

In cod2 all you can do is lay down smoke, push forward and hope for the best.

Clearing houses is the nightmare that I am going through in COD2 at the moment. It took me an hour to do one part of the level last night.

COD4 was bananas on vet...W@w is even worse due to the large open areas and general "mayhem" style of war that was WW2. i curse myself for even starting it on Vet, but better to get it out of the way. I try to at least start all games on the hardest difficulty, but i have to say that the CoD series is by far the hardest ive ever played. There must be some sublcause in the Activision development contract that explictly directs developers to make Vet mode impossible.

I've learned that the best u can do is make a mad dash forward and hope u hit the next checkpoint before you eat a wall of lead and a hail of 'nades. wash, rinse, repeat.

I've only completed CoD2 on veteran so far. I've bought CoD3 for a bargain price some time ago, but it isn't half as good as CoD2. I doubt I'll ever finish it. As for CoD4, the modern setting kept me from buying it.

the only one i've beaten on vet is COD2. I played through COD4 on Regular and haven't gotten around to the others. I'm gonna start with COD3 and play through to WOW.

I've completed Call of Duty 4 on veteran at least 3 times- The first time beating the game on vet was hard as hell- Mile High Club, No fighting in the War Room, One shot one Kill- I wasted about 5 hours playing those missions....the other times I beat them it was a breeze.

CoD WAW- I've only played up until Their land, their Blood on Vet but it doesnt seem too hard... the game keeps freezing as soon as I go under the railroad tracks:cry:

CoD 2- Playing this game for the first time on vet and the only missions that have given me real problems are the Tank missions- the controls are real pain

CoD 3- Beat the game on narmal without a problem, tried it on vet and I couldn't get over the damn wall in the first mission- I got the purple hearted achievement for my accomplishment

I've done both CoD4 and CoD:W@W on Veteran and come out. I must say, 4 is by far easier than the grenade-spam tactics of the Nazis in W@W. Still have to do Mile High Club (laziness) though.

Done 2,3,4 and WaW all first play throughs on vet. hardest of all would probs be 3, simply because the forest level caused me to not play the game for three months, but when i came back to it, i managed to do it in a few goes...go figure

Done it all, by far COD WAW is the most tough on veteran.

I've beaten COD 2, COD Modern Warfare, & COD WAW on Veteran difficulty.....didn't beat COD 3 on Veteran because I didn't like the game enough to go back and attempt it after completing it on a lower difficulty.

ive completed 4 which was tough at times but nothing compared to 2 and WAW (ive never played 3) im almost done wit 2 and about halfway with WAW. it seems very luck based. you play it over and over you learn what ways are the best ways to get through the level but it comes down to how lucky you get. for example sometimes they dont notice you sometimes they see you before your even around the corner. sometimes they only shoot other times they throw 37 grenades.

1000/1000 on COD4, and almost done COD2 on vet. I think its easy, you just have to be more patient, and the weapons aren't as great.

I've finished 1 (PC),2 (PC), and 4 (360) on veteran. Never bought 3, but I'm going to pick up World at War in the next couple of days, so I'll see how that goes. I'm more than a little OCD sometimes, and I feel an absurd compulsion to finish every game I buy on the highest difficulty setting (unless the game is complete and utter garbage, or really boring for repeat playthroughs). The only advice I can give to anyone trying for veteran is to be careful, and take things slowly. You need to make probing attacks to figure out exactly how the situation plays out, and then make an all out attempt to break through to the next checkpoint. Maintain patience and concentration at all times, and take it slowly, utilise the environment and all of your resources. Hope this helps.

COD 2-got to the part where you have to defend hill 400 and after numerous times just put the game on normal and finished it. I was so tired of that long, difficult game. COD 4-im up to Heat havnt found a way to get back down the hill.(last mission, and mile high club on veteran as well) COD W@W-up to the early stages of Burn Em Out.

I've beaten 4 on vet (mile high club included), had 3 taken away before I finished, 2 missions away from finishing 2, and around level 9 in w@w. 2 is a ***** when your pinned down, nowhere to go, and then the AI spams nades and you have no way to defend your self, 3 just sucked as a game, 4 wasn't too hard with the execption of No Fighting In The War Room and Mile High Club, and W@W's Vendetta and Burn Em Out made me want to break my system. swear to god, if i ever hear Renzov say "You just grazed him!" one more time im kicking someones ***
