Yep... so long as one of the players owns an XBL (xbox live) account. Grant it, you can only play Social matches but it makes it much more entertaining because you're with friends.

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but can someone explain how to do this cause I dont play Halo 3 and he called me up last night asking me about this and he just got the gold account and said he couldn't figure out how to do it.

it must be social...non-ranked matches when u go to match making, before u try to find a game...plug in all controllers u wish to have...then it should say press A to join or whatever...just choose guest for all of the other members...then find a good social match u wish to do

When he goes online and goes into matchmaking anyone who turns on a controller can sign on as a guest and it will prompt you to do so if extra controllers are turned on anyways. Its a rather simple process.

Turn on the 4 controllers and on the screen it should say "a join" in which u click a and it comes up with 4 square. click a on the non logged in controllers and it should come up with a list of profiles to log into, scroll down to the last one which should be guest and click log in. do this 4 the 3 controllers. (player 1 should be your xbl profile)
