Hey everyone.  I'm traveling by plane in a couple of days and was wondering if anyone knows whether you are allowed to carry the special edition of Rock Band 2 with you to the plane or not.  Has anyone done this before? How heavy was the box? I really hope someone can answer me so that I can buy the game before I leave.  Thanks!

Every airline is different and it has to meet their size standards, call and ask ahead. If it helps my cousin bought the GH3 bundle and was able to take that on the plane, then again it's a lot smaller than the Rock Band box.

i wouldnt bet on it.  The rockband box is pretty dang big. Probably the same size if not bigger than the carry-on bag you're usually allowed to take on airlines.  but I dont think its going to be a weight problem.  you'd be better off shipping the game, or buying it online in the first place.

but if you must buy the game then take it with you on the plane, call and ask the airport in advance.  that way you dont get to the airport and not be able to get through security with it.

yeah I would call and see, you could put it with special luggage, but that cost anywhere from 25 - 50 dollars

And if they say no, I'd try to put parts among your clothes and stuff. That's what I did with my GH3 guitar... I know it's alot easier since it breaks apart but worth trying.

I doubt they would let you carry it on... You could always put it with your checked luggage. But I'd be weary of that.

You can carry anything you want to the plane. The problem is getting it on the plane. You can check it on, but you wont be able to have that as a carry on!

I'm buying the game for my brother.  He lives abroad and they don't have Rock Band there so that's why I was asking.
