Can I charge my controller through my PC USB port?

But it also glows red when connected to the Xbox. So that means it has a low battery there as well. Until it recharges!

You can charge your controller with your USB port, I do it all the time. You just can't use it in any PC games.

Cool. I was just too lazy to walk up to the Xbox and charge it there. Plus the wire gets in the way. Thanks!

If it is Plug and Play, then yes you can. It says so in the manual and I've done it many times. The light is glowing red because its charging, it takes like 2 hours to fully charge.

You can both charge it through the pc usb, and use it on the pc (if you have the wireless controller adapter for pc). Link

Yes you can. You can charge it via the USB on your TiVo/cable box too. That's what I do because TiVo is always on.
