alright, first off, i am scared to go to the Mass Effect boards, since some stupid people are spoiling the game... anyway... after you beat mass effect, i have not yet. but after you beat mass effect and you start a game in new game+, can you still get the achivement for beating the game on the harder difficulties?

Theyre 2 completely different genres so its really just up to the player. If the game was solely the action which is shooting then you could compare the two but with the whole RPG element in Mass Effect you can't. It's best to play the two games at a friends house or by renting them and then decide which one you liked the best.

no, im not 100 percent sure tho i played the game alot tho so you can trust mywords a little bit more then some of these people, one of the guys hasent even played the game (look at his "mygamercard" link) and i doubt many, if any of the other posters have gotten the hardcore or inasne achivements

the difficulty wont change from (lets say) normal to hardcore unless you change it in-game after you start anew, which void the achivement, and if you change in the main menu and load up the file, itll get the difficulty from the loaded file, which wouldnt be hardcore or insane. you have to start a new game with a new char.

but i changed the difficulty in the main menu and when i loaded it up it was still "normal" and if i change it in-game it voids the achivment, maybe if you change the diff before you beat the game and then load that file?

but all im saying is it has to say the diff is "hardcore" or "insane" in the menu section when you start or you wont get it, which can only be done by starting a new character.

im telling ALL this cause i wouldnt wanty you to change the difficulty ingame to insane, beat the whole game, and get nothin
