Capcom is doing the unthinkable with DLC!

I remember the biggest thing that scared me this gen was DLC being things that were done and just left out of the game to make a quick buck off me. When capcom anounced they would do this with alternate costumes for SF4 it annoyed me but it didnt change the experience. Now with them anouncing in order to play RE5 multiplayer you will have to PAY for it! This is horrible! And no i am not tralking about co-op, yes that will still be free but their other multiplayer stuff will be for a price via PSN or XBOX live! This made it so that I wont even pick this game up unless they decide not to charge for this content. Looks like i wont be playing Bionic commando either. NICKEL AND DIMEING MUST STOP!

Wait a few weeks buy it used which will be $55 then get the dlc. There you go it didn't cost you a thing. I'm not too angry over the dlc but that's an easy solution.

400 points is a possoble buy if I read online that the MP is good. Some games aren't made for MP and this seems like one of them. Pumped for RE5 co-op campign though :)

That is deplorable...Honeslty, how does that content warrant DLC...let alone PRICED DLC...at least when Lionhead knew the screwed up with Fable 2 co-op it was patched the day it was released...FOR FREE! I seriously do not understand how Burnout Paradise can release 85% free DLC and crap like this that should have shipped with the game costs us money. Fail Capcom

Sure it's a pain to pay for it but know one said you have to. Plus no offense but, Capcom isn't going to be heartbroken if one, or even a hundred people don't buy buy there game for a measly 5.00$ add on.

I don't think I quite get what it is you are paying for yet. You mean you have to pay 400 MP just to have access to the online features? I have never heard of anything like that in a game before.

Are you sure they aren't reffering to the monthly LIVE fee? If so that's really nothing to worry about, it's only like $5 something a month, and the time is stackable so if you enter the code in for multiple cards the time will be extended. (at least it was for the 3 month card and year + 1 month cards I bought) Really if you spend as much on a Gold subscription as you would a brand new game, you won't even have to worry about the fee for a year.

The alternate costumes for SFIV are ridiculous. The costumes are already on the disc but to use them you have to pay for a 120kb file to tell the game to let you use them. It's ridiculous and it's almost on the verge of theft. Capcom are turning into greedy bastards who are taking advantage of DLC just to make a few extra dollars.

lol. glad im not buying that pos RE4 remake. Im starting to hate what capcom is becoming megaman series heading in a very childish direction (zx and zxa, starforce series.) Resident evil getting rid of all horror aspect in exchange for pure action. Devil may cry 4 was the only one i still like. but im sure if i played the series from 1 to 4 i probably would not have liked 4 either. 4 is still new to me so eh. I agree though. And dont think youll be able to keep that dlc content on the same hard drive. Its xbox exclusive pretty much. So dont even think about taking it to a friends house to play.sharpshooter188

Eh I'm not interested in that anyways. I jsut want the solo campagin and online Co-op thats all I expected to being with. The VS sounds like crap for a game like this, I don't even like normal FPS online.

Also, times are not tough financially for Capcom. They're not a US based company they are based in Osaka, Japan. Therefore, the United States' current economic crisis does not affect them.SteeleInd

well, ive gotten myself way too pumped to care at this point. honestly, i dont play multiplayer and it seems so tacked on that i wont buy it, even if it was free

If they were smart they would've left it intact and add $5 to MSRP and make their money that way. I hate the fact that games now are getting stripped down just so publishers some sort of DLC for launch or shortly after.

mm I was more choked with the epilogue of PoP being priced, if it was an entirely new game sure I can believe that but its not. I just hope that all companies don't start doing this or somehow even evolutionize dlc from here with "smarter" ways of content and games.
