I don't think I'd play the online if it was free anyways. I mean come on you and your opponent are going to stop aim and shoot without being able to move, I'm sorry but RE5 isn't meant to be a multiplayer game in my opinion. solo4321
it doesnt really neccesarily have to do that.
there could be something involving vehicles. there could be a survival mode.
they also could do something like left 4 dead versus (zombies vs humans.)
I knew it! When the new MP modes were being brought up, everyone was trying to talk about how they were going to be free, yet with no real proof. I saw some random post from a guy saying they were free. I didn't believe it for a second.
Even though I don't really care about the addition of multiplayer (despite the fact that it should have just been included in the first place), this makes me want to buy the game much, much less.
The DLC thing is getting out of control and it is only going to get worse because people just keep on paying for this crap. I will never pay for a feature in a game that should have been included already.
The Multiplayer modes are Versus modes, which is basically people against people, and then theres survival, which is mercenaries mode with 4 people. For those who do not know mercenaries is a mode where you survive against zombies until time runs out. And theres a point system for this too. This is very cheap on Capcoms part, i mean 2 weeks after release? Worse then Epic with their map pack...

This. now i know for sure i wont be getting RE5. and i will NEVER pay for any of that crap they're offering for SF4. its just wrong and its probably only the beginning.
I didn't know that about multiplayer. That's ridiculous. Remember multplayer on GTA IV? Not that interesting because it's not a multiplayer game. I'm a fan of what they're all doing with DLCs but I would pass on that. Blastalot5
Capcom's nothing compared to Namco. Take a look at Namco's DLC for Soul Calibur IV -Paying to unlock weapons that you can unlock by simply completing Story Mode. -Paying for costumes and parts that are already on the disc (you can't unlock these in the game, but the content is already on the disc, so why would you need to pay for it?). For the most part, these costumes don't even add much to the game unless you want girls wearing sexy x-mas clothes or halloween pumpkins. -Paying for the other system's exclusive character. Sounds legit, but i can't help but feel that all characters are already on the disc and they intentionally locked some stuff in there that can be only unlocked by paying for it. Don't get me wrong. SCIV's one of my favorite games this generation, but if Namco was in charge of RE5, you'd probably be paying for co-op, weapon upgrades, and the last chapter. i probably wouldn't mind paying for RE5 MP, but the only multiplayer fun i'm looking for in RE5 would be co-op.
it really doesn't make a difference, because i only play mp games by companys that know how to make mp games. like re5 would be a good mp. plus i buy games used on ebay so it's always cheap
