Castle Crashers Remastered - 9th -20th September free for original owners

So Castle Crashers is getting a remaster, due on 9th September. However, as a nice bonus, any original owners (as in people who had the game on Xbox 360), will get the upgraded version for Xbox One for free!

@Garfield360UK: I actually read owners will only get the game free...for a limited time. Then it will be $5.

I own the game but the window to get the game free is small: It launches on Sept 9th and will be free from September 9 through September 20 for previous owners of the original.

On September 21, the price for returning players will go up to $5.

It reminds me of cross BUY PS deals (of which there are many), like when the upgraded Flower, Whoa Dave, and recent upgraded Journey were free for players of the originals. The only difference was there was no timed window to redeem the upgraded games.

Still this is a nice move if for Castle owners to move fast in those 11 days while the upgraded version is free. I am one of those owners.

You may want to let people know if possible so they act fast while the window is open.

@SolidTy: Yeah, at the title of the thread suggests, its free from 9th September to 20th September for the owners of the original version.

A good point raised though, if more of these remakes/remasters happen, then giving the upgrades out for free is a nice thing to do going forwards.

Fantastic news. If you're a gamer and visit gaming sites or even just turn on your Xbox One, I'm pretty sure you'll see this deal and get it. Hardly anyone will miss this deal even if it's a limited time offer. And if some how you missed the deal maybe by waking up from a coma, they're making this backward compatible so you could play it on your Xbox One whenever you like free forever. Can't wait to play this upgrade version!

that's cool! I always liked this game something to play with my friends

it is even more fun on the X-Box One and you can Transfer your saves from the 360 to the X-Box One.
