Changed gamertag and now everything is broken

I changed my (offline) gamertag from sam to samiles.

Now, in Halo 3, when I load up Halo, instead of saying "Resume Campaign" it says "Start Solo Campaign". In other words all my game progress is gone.

However, when I look at the xbox dashboard, I still have all my halo achievements (including clearing 5 levels.)

Where has my game gone??!!

did u make a new accout? if u didnt did u delet the memory? thats all i can think of off the top of my head.

I would recommend calling support or checking the Xbox support forum

That Happend to me! Except I didn't change my name (ish).

Ok, One day I was just on the last level, I decided to go on my dashboard and look at changing my gamertag. I didn't change it but I went on the screen and pressed accept but it didn't let me due to the fact i didn't have suffecient Microsoft points. But when I go back on halo, it just said 'Start Solo Campaign' Everything got deleted - though I kept my achievements. Then I went to my harddrive and all the memory from it was gone!
