Cloverfield game?

I think it 'might' have a chance to be a good game. What it'd have to be would be just a complete escape game I guess, first person and basically no fighting the monsters except the small ones in the tunnel and all. It could depict the scenes from the movie perfectly and just basically be a horror game. Or, they could have you play as a marine or something fighting the monster. Or maybe another civilian running away. You never know. It really depends on how they develop the game that makes it good or bad. I do think though that it may have a chance.LysanderTelos

I agree it only depends on how they make it. if its like the matrix how it had nothing to do with the movie it would suck. but yeah if it was running and hiding in buildings surviveing it may just be worth playing.

i absolutely loathed cloverfield. it was a blatant ripoff of a mixture of 2 movies...can you guess which 2? heres a hint (godzilla and blair witch)

it had no plot, no story, and you didnt even see the monster (a good picture until the last minutes of the film) it made no sense because it had no background of what was going on. just run this way run that way omg its at the end of the street, but for some reason we cant see it even though its 50 stories high.....and omg it broke through the bridge....must have invisiblity powers because we are so close to where it broke through and we couldnt see it....

horrible movie, absolutely horrible camera, no plot, no story, i wanted to see the main characters all die because they were horrible actors, and had no qualities that made me want to see them survive (which i think was the best part of the movie.)

yes the camerawork gave me a headache, the actors trying to plow through their lines like a hungry fat kid plowing through the line in a cafeteria.

a game based off of a crappy movie would equal a crappy game. so no cloverfield game for me if it is ever made. i DESPISED that movie and definately would wretch playing a game based off that trash.

Well uhh...I hate to break it to you guys...but there IS going to be an official cloverfield game.

Brad Johnson was working on a fan based game (www.cloverfieldgame.com) and Paramount contacted him yesterday. They said that they wanted to make there own official game and wanted to use his domain name.

So yeah...now hes making a game INSPIRED by cloverfield (www.grayshotgame.com) and paramounts going to be working on an official game!

Go on youtube and check out some of the test videos Brad and his fellow developers made, and MAYBE youll change your minds about how a cloverfield game would turn out...I actually think it might work out.

I liked the movie and camera, but a game would suck. They don't fight, they just run. And it would suck to have a game where you just die from an airstrike in the end.

You people are all missing the big point. Who says you have to play as Rob, Hud, Marlena, Jason, or Lily? Youd prolly play as the monster and rip through the city, orplay as a parasite and go around devouring people. Thats what the game would most likely be if it was made.

I thought that the movie was amazing, the reason why they used the camera angle type was to make look real and make it look like a rollercoaster ride because the camera was shaking. I think a game would be great if you could play as Hud (the cameraman) to try to make the angles better. Plus it would be awesome after you beat it. if you can see how you did filming and see if you did better then Hud. I also think the camera would have to stay out of its place when you are moving.Keymaster92

If you knew me, youd know im obsessed with this flick and my homie said it would make a great game. I disagree because of the god awful camera but it was an interesting topic. It would probably be another great movie turned horrible game if it did happen.fudger2

OMFG u guys. k you would not play as the stars of the movie. you would play as the military. so you wouldnt just run around through the whole game. use your heads.

From my point of view, Paramount are really good at Merchandising, and, I give an example I know, Godfather the Game was the most amusing game I've played in a long time. Maybe that's just me, a SA fan, but still, Paramount took an character, which isnt main, but has a role in the movie. I think they will do the same here, for instance take a random character from the party, or a character you can build yourself, and then help the main characters[movie] or the army or something like that. I think it will include shooting of any kind, and the character[game] will survive in the end. It could even be in a different aspect of the attack, even military, and see the main characters[movie] just for some moments, when they are running..

it's in devolpement as far as i know and im defiantly going to get it when/if it gets released, i hope it's half as bad as the iron man game was, that game almost drove me crazy

Ok the guys who are saying it make a crap game are thinking way way on the wrong lines.

one not all movie game flicks are like the flims....

and it doesnt have to be based in the clover main story..

it could be a side story of one of the marines who got deployed there and you play from his point of view.

also you could do a "dead rising/leftfordead" action type.

you play the game you try to last i do not know 24 hours but you have to get out before the duke comes,and its one big city like spiderman 3.

But on a more massive scale like gta 4.

Or you could play as a solider who gets deployed after the duke or something (doesn't have to be a duke just using as a example.

yeah the game would suck if you was those party people.

but if your a marine and you got missions like in dead rising/gta 4...a main story and other story line plots with alternate endings.

and the co-op was like left for dead.

Different class's of spider things.

like macho one.

skinny fast one.

like head crab from half-life

Zombies.

ok TO SUMMRISE IT UP it be just like left for dead but with so much more..

for example big monster you have to try and stay away from..before you get extracted by helicopter.

can't make it to the extraction point before 24 hours game time is up.

and you just have to try and last for 24 hours.

and then you could have different modes like dead rising.

Guys THIS GAME WOULD BE THE ROCK OF ALL SURVIAL GAMES if THEY done this.

if they make a left for dead 2 in teh future they should do it like this...omg it would sell like crazy.
